Best GTA game.
Best GTA game
Best atmos and soundtrack for sure
this
Undeniably the best. Also the nicest range of side-activities, like robbing stores, getting prostitutes, and minigames. A lot of the best characters imo too.
I like how in GTA 3 I spent months looking for the Infernus in the back lot at the pier, then you fire up this game and every other car on the beachfront is an Infernus. Also introduced helicopters, motorbikes, a lot of special vehicles like the dune buggy, gangs that would fight eachother, and gang coloured versions of cars.
I loved it, not sure why it seems to get so little love compared to San Andreas.
Was there anything better than fighting alongside your gang members in running battles through the haitan neighbourhood? I remember the printing press business was basically under seige from the cubans all the time.
I always preferred 3
i always liked the kuruma but it never showwed up when i needed it. Also not nearly enough 4 door vehicles other than the taxi.
how the FUCK were you supposed to know to buy properties to continue the story?
how the FUCK were you supposed to know you had to sit through 5 minutes of a lapdance to be able to buy the stripclub?
how the FUCK were you supposed to know to do like 50 deliveries with the “icecream” van to be able to buy the icecream place???
>woke up this mornin, got myself a gun...
By being a gamer. You fucking poser.
Bullshit, best sound track maybe but those fucking asset missions were the worst.
I like all the 3D titles equally, each one brought its own great identity to the table.
>just scarface: the videogame
>instant success
>best game of the series hands down
speaks volumes about the creative teams in the industry
Touche
I want to go back...
there is an official Scarface game but i don't think it was as successful as Vice City
While III is my favourite (nobody who actually played VC was old enough to have actually lived the 80's) VC certainly nails a rose-tintend look at the 80's through the lens of action films and idealism.
>desperate to play destruction derby
>show up and it's motocross challenge
>again
every time
There are a lot of ways, in which the other games are better. But for me, this is just the game where it all comes together. Sure, the map is tiny, the controls feel bad, a lot of the missions aren't that great. But there's just something about driving around this map, with that soundtrack, and just the neat feel of it all, that the other games don't really capture. I love the colors, love the cars, love the buildings, the bridges, the little islands, and water. The game just has this beautiful look and vibe to it. And there's not a ton of interiors, but the ones that are there, are really cool and fun to go into.
I like the other GTA games a lot, but they can sometimes feel just like work, doing missions just to unlock the whole map. In Vice City the map is unlocked really quickly so there isn't really that "work" feeling. I just find the game enjoyable and relaxing to play. The smallish map works for me. I like how there's like four different bridges to cross islands so driving across is never too boring.
there's a save point near the stadium, you could just skip the days to get Bloodring
As a kid the smaller map didn't bother me so much. I feel like there were a lot more missions though. I liked knowing my way around everywhere. Playing 5 I'm just lost half the time.
Has anyone figured out a way to get it to run properly out of the box on windows 10 without any of the weird ghosting/trails. Or weird audio echo and have the controls work well?
VC came out in 2002, I was 19 and I was nostalgic for the 80s I barely remembered
>nobody who actually played VC was old enough to have actually lived the 80's
That's like saying if Rockstar made GTAVI take place in the 90s, nobody is old enough to have experienced it
What the fuck kind of retarded statement is that?
the real question is, why does San Andreas look so much worse than VC? I was hyped as fuck for SA after spending hundreds of hours on VC and it was such a complete disappointment, it felt like an unfinished game graphics wise
It also helps that it's a great game that actually delivers on what it promises and sets out to do. Unlike most modern games.
did you play the PC version without mods?
because the PS2 version looks gorgeous
the only bad ones were the ice cream factory and strip club because they were tedious as fuck
Literally the worst gta game
Journos playing it in 2002 were talking about how it captured the 80's they remember...despite being mid 20's when it released.
