I think these screenshots date back from the late 90s and early 2000s.
If you want to look into it, it's called AXIS 1 & 2 by Mermaid for the PC-98.

And the HCGs themselves are of course readily available.
Chase Thompson
So how is it lost exactly? Why not release it to public wtf
Charles Richardson
Someone on Twitter also argued it might just be a collection of CGs. This is infact possible, even if there are screen that show text etc.
Doujin CG collections for PC98 exist. Easier to make a mockup of a game than a game.
Nothing is certain though.

It's a Hong Kong 97 fangame. The link is dead, and literally nobody seems to have the game. Very few people know of its existence in the first place.
Liam Peterson
Too bad you can't play the actual game itself anymore.
There are buyback listings for it

Is this art style gone forever?
Robert Miller
I hope not, it's comfy incarnate
Ryder Cooper
Not necessarily. Some indie fags might make some soulless reproductions of it.
Luke Brown
Well some fag made a Disneyesque porn game so maybe one day some nip will do a retro style hentai game.
You can play Princess Maker I guess.
Levi James
I think this might be the most obscure lost media I've ever seen. Thanks for this user.
Logan Watson
Oh yeah, hentai gifs from way back in the day was the tits. Especially all those Viper gifs.
Andrew Jenkins
No. Doujinshi are among the biggest dens of lost media. Many doujins are never uploaded, once the run sells out they might as well be gone, regardless if it's manga, music, games or whatnot. If something treasured surfaces after 20 years it's considered a miracle. Second-rate doujins sold before 2010s might as well not exist. If a franchise has a dedicated event, expect maybe half a dozen titles out of hundreds to escape it. Even when they do, authors and collectors sometimes still hound around trying to take down all the uploads. If something gets notorious, publishers of the original work might get involved.
Doujinshi space is fucking brutal. And they are essentially doing it for free, they'll be lucky if they make back printing costs.
