So under appreciated. It’s still a stealth game. Why were people bitching about it turning into an action game?

>It’s still a stealth game
A really bad one.
>Why were people bitching about it turning into an action game?
Because it's a stealth series.
You know when people say "it's a good game, just not a good X game"? This is the perfect example. Game is still kino.
Kinoviction.
Good Jason Bourne game
Shit Splinter Cell game
the stealth is not even a fraction as in depth as the past games which was their appeal
did anyone play the co-op of this? fucking KINO dude
>It’s still a stealth game
How many stealth games have timed area defenses where you have to slaughter everyone? Even Thi4f is more of a stealth game than this garbage.
it's like hitman absolution, the raw mechanics there are good but they tried to be too cinematic, too edgy, too linear. plus both have that marked takedown shit.
the sequel is a much better game
Not really a stealth game, but it's still fun as hell.
Shotguns feel amazing in this game, which I doubt many people used considering it's a "stealth" game.
All the time. That and the terrorist hunt mode. Shame the servers shut down.
Any other games show you your objectives in such a kino fashion?
The Splinter cell game for dumdums who want to pewpew everything preferably with a canned and cool execution animation
The Co-Op missions were the best part. Loved the dynamic between Archer & Kestrel.
>So under appreciated
No its not
>It’s still a stealth game
No its not its a shitty mark&execute shooter
nice try you retarded zoomer.
Jack Bauer ruined splinter cell
>ruins MGS
>ruins splinter cell
how can one man be so based?
>It’s still a stealth game
Very difficult to do the last mission stealth when fuckers are infinitely spawning in from nowhere
it's fun but incredibly shallow, I love Bourne so I loved it but still mad it killed the series
It ruined splinter cell desu. Story wise yes. And it stopped the series on its tracks.
We had Blacklist which was actually very good. If they made it more like the older games, while keeping the fluid movement, shooting, costumization and takedowns, it would be an awesome modern counterpart to the older games. Sadly the series just don't seem as profitable anymore
If IO managed to resurrect Hitman and make it good, surely SC also has potential. Of course, it's Ubishit we're talking about here, but still.
>series just don't seem as profitable anymore
The modern "gamer" doesn't have the brain capacity to play stealth games. It is a miracle that Hitman still exists.
>tfw 100%'d Blacklist and made some friends in Co-op
>tfw no Blacklist sequel in like 5 years now
Is Splinter Cell dead? Did Ubisoft forget about Sam?
It's worse. They're shoehorning him into other Clancy games now.
Sam only makes cameos in shit games now.
Ubishit isnt entirely ubishit. They still have studios which are still willing, even if slightly, to take risks and try to make a legitimately soulful, enjoyable and creative game.
Look at For Honor. A game that always performed rather poorly and had a really small team. But it was creative and extremely entertaining, with the sole purpose of having an entertaining setting with somewhat memorable and at times funny campaign with likeable caricatures of the characters, in order to make the multiplayer an enjoyable, original and entertaining enviroment that would bring the community together. And they really fucking succeeded. Except the fighting system was awful. Yet they fought to make it great and more balanced and entertaining, even if FH was never a very profitable game. Sadly the game is going down ubi's darker path as of recent, but it definitely did have its golden days.
Look at Watch Dogs. They had to downgrade the fuck out of it, not because of false advertisement, but because the graphics were super hard to optimize for it's time and consoles couldn't handle it no matter what. They still existed in the code on PC. That was the sole reason why the game was received badly, people got mad. But the game, despite all its jank, it was a legitimate attempt at doing something new and creative. They even tried to make the climbing towers more creative and sometimes they succeeded.
Even though the game was received poorly, they went ahead and made WD2 looking to improve lots of things gameplay wise. They actually wanted to make a good game on both of these.
Sadly, WD3 is a piece of trash and the series was ultimately consumed by Ubi's greed being stronger than it's will to have good games.
>Rented out like a cheap whore
Yikes
There are occasional nuggets.of gold
Far Cry 5 had the Arcade maps
Conviction had coop
Blacklist had Spies vs Merc asymmetrical MP
Siege Season 1-3 were absolute Operator Kino
This looks dumb, like one of those fake games they have on CSI gamer episodes
not exactly the same but The Surge shows you tutorial messages like that, like writings on walls.
Spies vs Mercs from blacklist was absolutely amazing. I loved that game and it was one of the most fun MP experiences i ever had. (Before it died and got populated by the same 3-15 tryhads that abuse broken strats and exploits)
