when vice city came out everyone got it for christmas including my brother
he wouldn't let me play it until after he beat it but I would watch him play and look at the strategy guide to help him find hidden packages and other things
so I was basically a walking vice city encyclopedia and was very popular at lunchtime for a brief period for my vice city knowledge despite never even actually playing it
after my brother finally beat it I played the shit out of it but everybody had moved on to the next popular game
it became kind of awkward how obsessed with vice city I was
it then became a joke that it was the only video game I played (which was basically true at that point)
one time my friends came over unannounced like a year or so later and I was playing vice city
I wasn't continuously playing it for years but I just /happened/ to be playing it that day so that didn't help the jokes

Whenever I hear stories of people obsessed with WoW it always reminds me of Elliot Rodger's manifesto where he basically blames the game for ruining his life lmao

This deification of Haitch has literally been ongoing since 2000.
