Mario 3 is still great.

Genshin Impact isn't really that good of a game.
The gacha grind gets pretty bad early in and the story isn't really all that great either.
I had a lot more fun with BOTW and I've put in over 100 hours in Genshin.
The girls are great though at least.

All early 3d era games from n64, ps1, dreamcast, etc have aged like milk. Thats not to say they were bad for their time and genre-defining but going back to any of these games is pretty hard. 16bit era has aged better than early 3d.

i looked at some gameplay recently and was astonished at how good it still looks. They did a good job with the tech of the time. I do remember the game's actual systems feeling clunky as hell even at the time though.

I was mainly referring to the gameplay.

I mean let's be clear, it's a completely generic f2p Asian MMO story. There is nothing remotely interesting or unique about it, the characters are one note and childish. Anyone playing either BotW or Genshin for their stories is brain damaged.

also the problem with Genshin is just that you literally CAN'T spend $60 to get the game. $60 will get you maybe 3-5 playable characters which is a totally absurd model compared to the rest of the game industry. With regular video games you get all of the game's content for 60 bucks and then some extraneous stuff for 10-40 extra. The way people turn into tribalistic retards about their choice of consoom allows kikes and chinks to get away with such absurd anti-consumer nonsense.

This. I'd chalk a large portion of it up to dual analog sticks becoming the norm, which makes 3D games work better when you can have full control of the camera and movement on the sticks.

There’s nothing wrong with oot or sm64 you zoomer faggot. That’s not to say a lot of those 3D games from the era arent poor compared to now.

He's using the first attack animation and letting it play through entirely before inputting another attack so that Link does not combo into any other animations. i don't think anybody would argue BotW had stellar combat but it's good enough

It literally is not. That's an archer. That's how their AI behaves at close proximity and attacking enemies like that stunlocks them really easily. Stop lying about it.

Calm down their nerd, I literally didn't know this because there's no reason for a player to walk up to an enemy and only attack them once, wait a second, and then try again. This is most definitely a bug because Nintendo also likely did not expect anybody to do this either.
