It doesn't.

Because the GPU is what those games use for most of their work.

because you are using a 750 ti
but yes any 4ghz + intel 4 core can run modern games just fine as long as you don't want some insane locked 200 fps 1080p

it does, keep wasting your money faggot

I made this exact upgrade last year (3rd gen i5 -> 3600x) and it's a huge difference. However this was only the case after I upgraded from a GTX 760 to a 970. If your GPU is the bottleneck then yea of course it won't matter.

Post benchmarks.

here niggers. i5 is even faster at some points

He's using a GTX 1050... Actually read my post

I'm using a 9 year old CPU which is holding up today @4.3ghz

>not even using SSDs for test video
lmao

Presumably because GPU performance is the bottleneck, and/or because the games you are looking at can't utilize multiple cores efficiently (single-thread performance hasn't improved much, due to limits of physics being hit causing a breakdown in Dennard scaling)

Nice frame pacing.

Nothing will change my own life experience for me where, after upgrading from an old i5 to a 3600, and getting AMD drivers (and using their custom power plan), I get significantly better performance out of every game I've tried and my computer doesn't have to struggle to run anything anymore. Same GPU, same drives.

get some freesync?

>TFW i7 870
>TFW lack of AVX forced my hand to upgrade, not lack of performance in any game.
Going from 60FPS high settings to not launching at all is weird and the consequence of my hubris

Playing on the i5 is absolutely worse.

Tested with 1050 Ti. Huge bottleneck.

This guy is running newer shit horribly across the board. 39 FPS on red dead. He's using old WD green drives to run the games and a 1050. No shit the CPUs perform the same, they aren't the issue.

>1920x1080@144ghz
Damn, hes got a very nice monitor

Should I get a 10900KF for £100 off MSRP or wait for the 5800x to come back in stock

>1050ti
only fucking thirdworlders use that shit.

>Malay
It's pronounced "me-lee."

goes to show you dont need a fucking 12 core cpu with a shitty gpu who knew? and 39 fps is perfectly playable using gamepads, it drops into low 20s on ps4

Does saving my games on 2TB HDD Seagate Cuda with a 2600x and rx580 8GB bottleneck my performance

If he had better hardware in general, the CPU would start to matter. This is a comically obvious bottleneck. If I wanted to play at PS4 frame rates I'd buy a PS4. This has to be bait.

>and 39 fps is perfectly playable using gamepads
With generous auto-aim, sure, but at that point you really are watching a movie.

try to play at 4k with an RTX 3080

you will get not even half of the fps

>all this drone cope

I'm not the guy who posted the vid just saying that its perfectly fine to game on a pc with 1050ti as long as you know what you are getting. I got my nephew one and he plays fuckin tons of games constantly so seems to be working for him

Because modern games are still designed for the ps4/xbox one specs and higher presets don't depend that much on the cpu.
