Nutcracker drops on wave 50.
Some floors have something they will always drop the first time you clear it. Otherwise it has a list of stuff it will pull randomly from.

where does the wave garmet + drop from

I'm coming up on my 4th or 5th harvest and I've almost reached the top of the volcano, I was thinking about spending a year or two seeing how far I can get down the shrine instead of focusing on story. Should I just do it story so I don't over level? I'm actually "under leveled" for the current area but it hasn't been too tough.

Floor 280.
The shrine will just gate you off before you make more story progress, so you won't be able to get too far. And you could always just make deliberately shitty rice if you're worried about being overleveled.

Just upgrade the regular one. By the time you get the + version upgrading it again won't be an issue.

but indigo scales and boar tusks don't drop very much

I got the Switch. The shadows aren't as smooth as the PC. Plus I can only record in 30 second intervals.
