2.0 looks like it's gonna be a contentious little shit. The new start boost mechanic and hitlag desperately need to be things that can be toggled off.
the new starting mechanic I think I can get used to, all you'd have to do is charge the spin dash and pray some asshole doesn't feel like bumping into you. hitlag however looks fucking horrendous, and if it's forced to the point where not even severside mods can turn it off, I might end up dropping the game.
