unironically agree

yea, it's amazing

I love it, it's great indeed

nah

>t.someone that can't find enjoyment out of anything

i admit it, I'm a sucker for grass fields.

Yes it is very good, despite its flaws. It just became popular to hate it, I feel that those who unironically do hate it actually lack a strong opinion of their own and are just being needlessly contrarian.

lol ok tendie

I wish they could've just put link in a trial or something for the tutorial instead of having the massive eyesore plateau that you never have a reason to ever revisit

It really is, but let's talk about an actual flaw. It's too easy to get fully healed. Why spend rupees at the Inn when you can just eat 3 apples and stay up all night? Some kind of fullness meter that doesn't let you just keep eating to heal would be nice so you couldn't just keep relying on that.

It has some good resources for armor upgrades and a revisit brings back some nostalgia and is a reminder of how far you've come and how much you've grown. That was how it was for me, at least.

>IS THAT A EMPTY GRASSY FIELD????
no? I posted a screenshot of a volcanic mountain, literally no grassy field there.

Undoubtedly Zelda is an overrated franchise despite being amazing.
But the unending autistic hatred of botw by some people is hilarious

Are you that bored with your shitch you need to bring up this 3-year old turd? Don't you have anything new to do with it? Oh that's right, everything else is just ports from better hardware.

Fuck it, I'm autistic so I'll post my most wanted mechanic.

I want that whenever Link gets near an enemy, he is afflicted with a "Stressed" debuff. This debuff would prevent armor switching, reduce the healing of items by 40, and make it so that switching weapons/shields/bows won't pause the world like how Skyward Sword had a "on the fly" inventory that you had to navigate while in the action.

Maybe tie it to Master Mode so casuals wouldn't get filtered to hard.

The cope is real

True. It's only flaw is the lack of proper Zelda dungeons.

>Some kind of fullness meter that doesn't let you just keep eating to heal would be nice so you couldn't just keep relying on that.
Too unfriendly to casuals for Nintendo to implement it but this would have been great.

this is a better flowerfield in game

I feel like BotW is nintendo's Bloodborne...one game trip pony

Honestly a cool idea that wouldn't be too tough to implement. I truly think that Nintendo games would benefit from an option that makes the game less casual / harder. Could bring in whole new demographics that disregard the games for being "too casual".

the overworld is packed with stuff to do. In that screenshot alone, you can see a stealth/combat area, an outpost, a town, a challenge shrine, and a dungeon: plus more in the distance. I don't understand the emptiness critique

People that havent gone to it blind have a better chance of disliking it. I really do believe that because im even aware of myself doing it to certain games when someone recommends it, but it is just one of those games that is that revolutionary, like super mario 64, you can day super mario 64 sucks now but it built the foundation for everything you like now, theres still isnt another game like breath of the wild , theres a reason why it shows up on Zig Forums everyday since its released

what the fuck is supposed to be revolutionary about BOTW? looks like just another big empty world with lots of dumb enemies (presumably respawning) and a few friendly characters in it. I know it has physics but we had spreading fire in Far Cry 2 (2008 or so, not gonna bother looking it up) etc. it's all been done. where's the revolution?

Hope the sequel is even better

>I don't understand the emptiness critique
it's usually from people that took the game on the surface and didn't actually delve into it.

this sums it up better than I ever could

Its not even the best game in its franchise user.
Don't get me wrong its a good game, better than most the shit on the market, but its like B tier with a real chance that the sequel just blows it out of the water.

Dude im not trying to shit on other open world games, i love rdr2, but botw is just a different game that you need to give an honest chance, it is different, just try to dissociate what everyone already says about it and try to not be be such a contrarian , if you like other open world games i cant see how botw doesnt seem like it is a step forward to you, not on graphics but in gameplay

>3 enemy types
No it’s not.

Large empty open world, straight up ripped off Ubisoft tower climbing mechanics.
Uninspired copy paste dungeons.
Tell me again why this game is the best one ever made?
