Try to reel back some of the storytelling to tell a more compelling, tighter story instead of a fantastic, over-the-top thing that relies more on crazy characters instead of well-scripted plot.

Tone down the supernaturalism. It's way overdone in recent games.

Maya gets a baby

use the only good thing from the 3d games (not counting DGS because i haven't played those) and make "ace attorney investigations: simon blackquill" as a result

100% voice acting.
Make the investigation segments first person free roam instead of point and click
Court room segments are fine as they are

>100% voice acting
you don't want that, i promise

>100% voice acting.

No, fuck that. At least make it a switchable option.

I like pretending to voice the characters when I play. It keeps me engaged.

kill Athena

Why would you kill off best girl?

That's what Aura was trying to do.

I think she might've been better off having actually killed her mom given how irrelevant she is in AA6.

4-6 are all garbage with each new entry in the main series progressively making it more difficult to have any semblance of a coherent story, so either make a game with a new protagonist in a new story that has nothing to do with Wright/Apollo/Athena, or reboot the entire series

Honestly I think its dated to not have full voice acting in games, especially when the anime did a decent job.

Fire Emblem did it right where every line is voice acted, while games like Breath of the Wild and Xenoblade had voice acting at critical times making their stories so much more memorable. Om the otherhand Pokemon refuses to add voice acting and feels like a fangame instead of a $80 billion dollar franchise.

>so either make a game with a new protagonist in a new story that has nothing to do with Wright/Apollo/Athena, or reboot the entire series
Aren't those the same thing?

Maya and Phoenix have a child, he grows up and he's a lawyer too, jaded Phoenix Wright helps out sometimes, I want less supernatural stuff and just see some nice plot develop. I love the original trilogy, I didn't like AA4 at first but it was okay, and I didn't even finish AA5 because it was too over the top for me, just tone it down a bit.

I want Phoenix to be the irrelevant one. He's the one taking up too much space.

AA6 actually did put some effort into putting him into the backseat but as you said, Athena got shafted in order to give Phoenix a meaningful role.

It's the lack of voice acting that is the problem with Pokemon... right. There is no way the voice acting in Ace Attorney would be anything other than awful and not in a good way either.

oh, and I also want completely new characters and supporting cast, I don't want to see Athena all that much, or Apollo

Reboot it so that AJ never fucking happens.
Disbarring Nick MERE MONTHS AFTER BRIDGE TO THE TURNABOUT'S ENDING WAS SHIT.

not necessarily, new characters and story can exist within the same universe and canon as Phoenix Wright and company, reboot implies discarding the previous canon to re-establish a new one

Haven't played any except the first case and anime but add government cospericies or some dark shit and voice acting

this is a perfect example of what I mean, user

rerelease the original trilogy with redrawn sprites instead of whatever the fuck they gave us

competent writers so the stories aren't complete dogshit

absolutely nothing else matters

CAPCOM did that enough times with SF3, DMC4 and AJ:AA, the response was always "give more of what was before read: Dante, Ryu, and Phoenix (and the guys from earlier games)".

>Phoenix and Apollo get mixed up with a national conspiracy in Murder Tibet where lawyers are illegal and ghosts commit crimes
>Athena gets stuck in Weenie Court Jr. getting her hand held through a case about noodles and balloons

>add government cospericies
spirit of justice already did this, though it was in fantasy spirit channeling india

My vision of Ace Attorney 6 had Athena and Apollo trading back and forth lead attorney roles throughout the game.

Phoenix was still present but only in a supportive role (the way I pictured him is in the main story, he appears in one case where you control him during the investigation phase but then Athena takes over as the lawyer in court and then in the DLC case he'd be the main attorney separate from the rest of the story). I also gave Trucy a bigger role (she was the assistant for the last two main cases and then in the DLC case paired with Phoenix).

I liked the trilogy for that. Everyone looks exactly like their original 2001-2004 illustrations.

Don't get me wrong voice acting isn't the only thing wrong with pokemon, but they have zero excuse to not have it. People know Pokemon by them saying their names, not midi cries. Trainers have been talking since the 90s in the anime. Literally why not add it other than laziness?! Gamefreak needs to be restructured.
