probably used for mining

I didn't even know video cards could die. How do they die? Does it just overheat or something? I've had a 460 and 750 for years and they still work. Maybe they sold it to you used because they knew something was wrong with it.

some dipshit overclocked it and blew it up then some 'refurbish' cuck probably replaced some parts and resold it to your retarded gullible ass

how much did you pay for it lmao

I payed around 260$, is there a way to fix it?

>buying used pc parts ever
lol retard

>260
>1080
user...

They die when they get pushed to their limits by bitmeme miners, then they get sold once they wear out
Never buy used PC parts.

all bitcoin miners and scalpers must fucking hang

After having two refurbished 360s die on me in a year I told myself I'd never buy a used electronic again.

Yes, BUT

Provided it was not used for mining and main chipset is not dead you'd need someone who is capable and has tools for component level repair, wiring diagram of the card and possibly a donor board.

Honestly I'd sell it for parts, it's not worth fixing on your end.

>He thinks cards die from being used for mining
>He thinks someone bought a 1080 Ti for mining when multiple 1070s and/or 580s were always more profitable.

The Ethereum contract that manages the drivers lapsed

>He thinks cards DON'T die from being used for mining
>He thinks people DON'T use 1080 Tis for mining

>buying used PC parts
do people really do this?

Sorry that happened, man. That sucks.

Who is this?

>buying used electronics
shiggy diggy

this is a temporary "fix"
remember to ebay that shit to some goy before it breaks again

>Overclocking and running a card under load 24/7 for months and months doesn't kill a card
Are you fucking retarded?

Miners underclock their cards you idiot

>multiple 1070s and/or 580s
nigger if you were old enough to post here you would probably remember the shitcoin hype train and how difficult it was to get any decent card anywhere near msrp

user...

>I didn't even know video cards could die.
Yes, they die as in they suddenly just stop working altogether. System won't recognize them, they won't send signal to monitor, etc. Shit also happened to me with a used card so I assume they have a fixed lifespan like all modern electronics.

>used
>reference

CPUs are fine, I regularly buy used ones from aliexpress.
Wouldn't recommend anything else though.

fucking retard

God hates you.

>be greedy
>get punished

How is the refurbish guy a cuck when he is the one scamming retards?

some retard overclocked it, busted a solder joint, and did the ol' wacky oven trick to set the solder to limp the card by until it sold to a retard like you. NEVER BUY USED GPUS
