TOK has only sold 3 million, which is great for Paper Mario. But compared to how much 1st Party games are selling on Switch compared to past mainline entries (e.g. Skyward Sword selling 2 million vs BOTW selling 20+ million) it goes to show how underwhelming the sales are.
Yes, that won't happen, but yes, TOK didn't sell that much and it's 3 games in one, Paper Mario TTYD on 1080p looks gorgeous on Dolphin and Super Paper Mario too. I have been playing Paper Mario 64 on my Wii and it's also really pretty but it looks bad when emulated at higher resolutions.
Do you -really- want the same Nintendo that changed unique designs for generic ones in the M&L remakes to mess with TTYD? I say presenting the games as they are and letting numbers speak for them would be more beneficial.
I believe a rerelease like this will never happen in nintendo's current climate.
Paper Mario is a niche spin-off series so a collection of old titles wouldn't do that great.
Remenber TOK got a lot of sales from the current climate and being released in a clear period for nintendo.

I think the people currently making paper mario are capable, it's the management that's the problem. They're held back by mandates that keep them from making the the game they want to make.

I played Paper Jam and Color Splash and the latter is definitely several leagues above the former even with its questionable gameplay for the battles. Paper Jam misses more than it hits with its humor and the game lasts at least ten hours longer than it should.
Super deserves a space next to the first two not because it's a good game, but because it was also made before nintendo put retarded creative restrictions on the series.
