Everything in classic is also in full body. The Rin scenes are new and can't be avoided so it triggers classic purists. In reality Rin adds nice music to the game so haters can suck it. If you hate Rin just pretend she doesn't exist at all and you are playing the classic experience. The gameplay is fucking great.

They made the game harder and easier at the same time for Full Body, and I don't know why.

Classic is better in the way that Full Body sped up every single stage to the point that you have to perform at full capacity all the time if you want to get a gold trophy (the original had a slower general pacing which let you, you know, think of the puzzle, Full Body actively forces you to either memorize the stages or bodge your way out). The ways the designers decided to balance this was to include the new character as a mechanic that slows down the progress of the stage when you're about to fall down, stopping the music (which is essentially a way of calling you a sucker, very funny all things considered); and reworking the life system (no more limited lifes and continue system) and the retread step system (now it's a mechanic even in Hard, in which every pillow you get is an extra retread step).

I've been playing the Original mode in Hard and it is pretty much harder than the original but not in a very good way. Maybe the game's more balanced in the reworked stages. The original PS3 game was very finely tuned to its pacing and speeding it up feels wrong, even with the added softeners to compensate. I would only recommend it to people who know the game by heart.

The worst thing about full body for me is rin being in the landing in the nightmares, her piano ruins the place. Already didn't like the mechanic.

played the original on the 360 and loved it. rapunzel sucked though.

I cannot stress enough how much worse Full Body is. I'm sure you'll still enjoy the game but man it's just a completely different experience. The pacing and atmosphere is so different
