nope

cope

Why are the default jobs besides hero and hitman so bad?

nope

Clerk, homeless guy and gangster seemed fine to me

clerk is good.

All jobs are good, just different.

the only meh ones were detective and barmaid

clerk hitman hobo and gangster are all OP

I switched Han to enforcer late game since hitman wasn’t doing that well

dope

I've only played 0, kiwami 1 and kiwami 2. Will I miss anything by jumping straight to this one?

I fiddled with many jobs but by midgame I just set everyone to it's default one. Only one that was lacking was detective but for a tank role it's not bad.

Clerk is great. Eri in my opinion is better than Han. Yes, Hitman is the better job than Clerk, but Eri's weapon ignores target's defense. Han's biggest worth is his first two moves in Hitman cost very little MP compared to the damage it outputs, but I found Eri's tack move to absolutely BTFO enemies in groups. Han's AOE abilities kind of sucked.

When you're fighting the tower and can thumbtack throw and either KO 2-3 enemies or get 3-4 enemies below half health with one move you know it's good. Then you just clean it up with ichiban, lower the defenes in masses and a chance to charm with Saeko then you just finish them with Adachi if there's any left.

Speaking of Adachi, detective is decent. Enforcer is just way better on him. Conversely, Han is also a very good enforcer.

i want to kiss eiri and saeko direcly on the boobs

hero/idol/hitman/chef
best setup.

Korean Lightning is best girl

That Majima Saejima fight was bullshit.

Hmmm, I hope this is the only turn-based game, and they change the games as Ichiban grows.
Would avoid repetition from reusing so much content, and Yokohama and Kamurocho, and would make it a more interesting saga to go through.

Just use fire, it BTFOs Majima.

i skipped almost every korea and china cutscene desu famalam.

Not really. There's only minor spoilers for 6

>Eri's tack-attack
What the fuck

i hate how spongey a lot of the enemies are. especially the big pirate dudes.

>bro from the start shows back up much later in the game
>disappears again

It was genius to make it turn-based in hindsight. Think about it, for the past 14 years, the game has had the same style.
>b-but that's what makes it fun
Sorry but walking behind enemies, punching them, using a heat move got boring for me even after 2 years. I don't own a console so 0 was my first Yakuza game.
I'm not saying the combat was bad, but even after 20 or so hours in 0 I kind of started skipping over fighting most mobs because the fighting got so repetitive. Span that across two more games and the turn-based shit was welcomed.
It was perfect timing too, given the larger western audience they gained in the past two years. I wouldn't mind if the next game switched back to the old combat though, I feel like they eventually will.

She's my favorite DPS in the game. Certainly a hidden gem.

I think this is why the reception to the turn-based footage was overwhelmingly positive.

Hero/Clerk/Hitman/Gangster is insanely OP, what are you on about?

what's the best way to grind level and classes to 99? Premium Adventure normal mode or do I start a new game with Hard/Legendary difficulty?

I think it’s good as a one off break, but it runs the risk of getting stale for a second game if it reused as much as they typically do.
Ideally, they should mix the two, or keep switching things up to remain fresh.

The next yakuza game is going to be a MOBA. You will screenshot this post as proof that I was right.

the masked murderer summon is fucking lame

we should lobby that it is RACISM that causes journos to overlook the true GOTY

they already tried that via minigames

baka grandpa
it will be a battle royale
>where we droppin'
>millenium tower bro

it's pathetic they nominate Hades but not this game

>Zig Forums hates Ichi when he was first announced
>Hes actually the best protagonist in the series

>>Hes actually the best protagonist in the series
WRONG

this is why I seriously doubt the announcement on the 8th will be 8. It'll probably be a spinoff so they have enough time to either come up with something new for the next game or significantly change things up to keep it fresh

>Zig Forums hates Ichi when he was first announced

I don't remember this happening.

I love AKiyama, but he's side-character material at best.

Yeah, the mainline continuations haven’t been yearly since 3 and 4.
If anything, it’ll be an anniversary type spinoff if there is an actual game announcement. Maybe that will be turn-based or testing the waters for a hybrid system, or something else.
