Honestly grinding out a bit at the start so you can just play solo is the best way to play the game, it's why the first one was so good because you had to pursue your waifu in the midst of battle or random encounters, and there was far less cuckshit. Good thing aidungeon makes this and other text games obsolete.

They completely missed the point of the very thing that's half of their title, Corruption.

Your corruption level locks various characters, a weapon, and an entire city from you. Your companions will leave you if you have high corruption and you get the option to turn them into your slaves. No moralfaggotery as Pure vs Corruption isn't Good vs Evil. The game doesn't stop you for wanting to live out your slave harem fantasies
>Coc2
Corruption level has 0 consequences to your interactions and companions.
Look at my picture and you'll see every single that's affected by corruption. 13/15 changes are inconsequential dialogue.
The fact the first game focuses so much on corruption has consequences only for the sequel to have none is completely baffling especially since the authors are putting so much more focus on characters:
Cait, the girl who's had her sister kidnapped and sacrificed in front of her by Kasyra worshipers. Even though her entire religion is about having sex she hates Kasyra so much she doesn't feel turned on in the slightest when she meets her despite numerous characters preaching how Kasyra is a literal sex god.
Quint had realized that the Kasyra cult were all sex crazed fanatics and betrayed them the first opportunity he got. He's he refuses to talk about Tollus to imply what Tollus has done for Kasyra is so disgusting it traumatized Quint to where he doesn't want to mention it.
Etheryn had her entire kingdom and sister ruined by Kasyra. Saw her own sister give birth to imps and turn into a demon while Kasyra smugly laughs how her sister was an easy whore to lay.
All of these characters should hate corruption despite this they don't give a shit if your corrupted or fuck Kasyra. The most you get from them is 1 sentence where they say:
"Did Kasyra put you under a spell or something bro?" with no everlasting consequences.
If this was Coc1 they would have had Cait leave the party permanently instead of pussying out.

I think Quint's writer said he will just fuck off if he notices you are corrupt, Azyrran's corruption route turns her into a bimbo which makes you lose a companion.
But i agree, the game barely has any corruption content.

If anything, Brienne is a good step forward for alternate characters. Maybe still have bimbo!Azyrran recuitable as an alternate to Quint?

The game mechanics fucked over every other build except mages.
>The only way to max stats (17 for now) is through having starting stat bonus in character creation.

This. What is the fuck of playing if you can't corrupt anything?
The first one handled corruption perfectly and the idea of choosing between being a sex crazed maniac with your harem of other corrupted creatures, a traveler just trying to get home, and a pure knight trying to save this tainted land is what made the original so endearing imo.
Now, it's maybe good for an hour then you get fucking bored because nothing has any consequences.
