I've tried the gacha. I believe Granblue's world and lore is fantastic, shame it is stuck as a gacha game. Sure, the story itself is a simple gather crystals and fight the big baddie shit, but character interactions are amazing and it pains me it's stuck as gacha. Nobody plays Granblue for its story, but for amazing art and characters like Cag

but I am looking forward to it and Tales of Arise, they will be the final games I get on PlayStation as I am ditching Sony for Switch & PC. My PS4 already collects dust as is and only gets turned on for the occasional Ace Combat 7 session.

I completely forgot about it. A few years ago it would be a day zero pre-order for me but my hype is pretty much dead at this point. I guess it's because I also stopped caring about GBF a long time ago, no amount of cool characters was able to convince me to deal with all that raid autism.

Wasn't this shit revealed like 10 years ago and had platinum working on it at one point. I remember being hyped for it but who knows is the footage revealed in the past looks anything lioe the game today.

I have played a lot of it.
Make it a God eater if you want, I don't care. You are picking missions in a hub world and get teleported to an area were you kill a boss monster at the end with various patterns to learn. It's closer to MH than musou

That is like saying Destiny is a Monster Hunter clone.
A shitton of games uses this lobby-based format and Monster Hunter wasn't even the first one to do that (you can give PSO that medal if you want to, but that game was also based on a even older game so this hole is deeper than you think). And yes, even musou games have the same format.

Alright fair enough, maybe I haven't played enough Musou games and they are closer in structure than I thought. I still think the combat in relink looks pretty promising for what it is.

I know tales will be cross platform PS4/5, I’m hoping Granblue will be as well but that one I’m not sure about.

This one game though won’t be enough to make me wanna buy a PS5 for. I’d probably just wait 7 years and get a cheap used PS5 slim and used copy of the game and play it then.
