The amount of animations in this game for doing mundane tasks is what gives it SOUL. Putting weapons away in your horse, skinning animals, carrying pelts, sitting, drinking/eating.

There's still games released where your weapon would just appear in your hands, you'd collect pelts by just pressing a button and it going into your inventory, drinking/eating would be done from a menu too instantly.

I don't like wasting time, but these animations really make you feel connected to the world.

Those games do that for a reason. It would be extremely tedious being forced to watch a little cutscene play out every time you wanted to do a very simple task like picking up an item in an action game.

also Sadie was the only female like that and she isn't portrayed in a purely positive way, her violence is self-destructive and often gets everyone around her into trouble

You can be whatever the fuck you want for all I care, but this image makes no sense considering white men have by far the highest suicide rate of any group in existence. If they were truly the master race, the suicide rate should be far lower yet it's not. All the spiritual teachings throughout history have always pointed towards self acceptance. Be happy with who you are. Yet here we are in an age where people are taught they shouldn't accept who they are and instead should always feel like what they are isn't enough, leading them down a life where they're constantly trying to figure out what's right and never really reaching that point.

It's not just the gang. It's the entire world. People say Bioshock Infinite pulls its punches when it comes its portrayal of racism but in comparison to rdr2 it's a historical documentary. RDR2 is disneyland version of the South after the war.

Worked in RDR1 as well, but there was no animation made for it you would just land and be in the default riding position.
