It's a mixed bag overall.
There's a lot of simpletons who hate it simply because it's popular (and has a vocal fanbase), but there's plenty of bad/mediocre episodes that are worthy of criticism.
For me season 1 was the peak, season 2 was a mix of good and bad episodes, season 3 was mostly bad, and season 4 was better than 3 but not quite a return to form.
