PCs settings to match the PS5 version (as shown on latest Digital Foundry video):
>Shadows - Ultra High (Highest setting) >World Detail - Very High (2nd highest setting) >Clouds - High to Ultra High (basically no difference in options high and above on PC, but PS5 clouds seem to look better than PCs clouds) >Environment textures - High (highest setting) >Character textures - High (highest setting) >Water - High (highest setting) >Folliage - PS5's folliage is more dense than highest PC setting
Here's the thing. Digital FRAUDRY didn't compare both in ANY gameplay segments, but took only the opening scene for performance comparison. This is pretty low from them, since this scene performs on PS5 worse now than it did on day one, after the latest patch, so clearly something became unoptimized for that scene. It's unfair to compare it JUST on that one scene, however, PS5 beats on those settings 2060 Super, 2070 Super, RX 5700. PS5 is TODAY on RTX 2080 level and that's as I said before a very optimistic point of view, as the only comparison was done on a unoptimized scene from that game. It's basically a 2080-3070 today and with how performance on PC goes down with each year of the same cards compared to consoles (due to low access to CPGPU on the latter, closed system and unified specs), these cards ARE NOT future proof. To build an entire PC around those cards you have to spend pretty much 3x the price of a PS5. And again - these are not future proof. Even if you consider the 40 dollars per year x7 for the entire generation of PS Plus*, that's still dumb to go PC. *and PS online gaming equals no cheaters online and no dead servers unlike PC's free online And the next cards will be beaten by PS5 Pro either way. Pee Sea Masturbace literally on suicide watch. Imagine being a PC nerd in 2020.
Sure, we'll ignore the part where the PC hardware has been available for years before the PS5 game out, and better shit is already being released. How can you possibly try and say that PCs are obsolete in 2020 when they have been pushing better performance back in 2018?
Elijah Sullivan
it's ubishit optimization, simple as
Zachary Reed
>when they have been pushing better performance back in 2018? You mean the top 1% of PCs vs consoles from 2013. Retard. 85+% of Pee Sea cockroaches are still 1080p or below. That means only a tiny portion has anything close to 2080/3070 (how did 3070 came out 2 years ago?).
Agreed, the game could work and look even better on PS5 as well. Still, they are all unoptimized but at the same time show the performance on both platforms. PC version isn't any more or less unoptimized than that of a console.
Lucas Morgan
AC games have ALWAYS run like shit on PC. You would know if you weren't such a huge fag
Angel Jones
Whoa there, consolefag. I ain't even gonna read ALL THAT SHIT I just came here to let you know that consoles will never ever even scratch the surface of what a good PC can do.
Consoles are good for people looking to get into games quickly, PCs are for people who actually know what they're doing.
what's your cpu out of curiosity also why do you have a 120gb ssd
Juan Cooper
I'm not reading this. Is ot just op going a 3060ti and 3600 are more expensive than a PS5 so I should just get my assraped by sony or whatever?
Aiden Perry
PS5 is its native API (Probably some flavor of Vulkan) on a UNIX-like OS. Windows version is probably D3D11 or 12, basically a API designed to hold the system back on a toy OS.
Ubisoft should at least release a native Vulkan version.
Gavin Hall
>I ain't even gonna read ALL THAT SHIT I just came here to let you know that consoles will never ever even scratch the surface of what a good PC can do. LMFAO >I will just turn around and pretend your arguments don't exist while I present none but this general statement If we are talking about things one platform has never done but the other did, we have those in Ghost of Tsushima for example, which destroys graphically any open world games of this genre. Stay taking that copium.
Yeah you were smart for buying this overpriced piece of shit rig that will have to be updated sooner than this generation ends (GPU wise). GTX 680 is nowhere to be seen now, yet PS4 still somewhat holds up. Keep coping.
Jeremiah Murphy
only pirates use pc.
Brandon Parker
AC engine has always been shit on PC, the fault lies with Ubisoft not giving a shit, and neither should you when it comes to AC. The Division 2 in comparison runs like a dream, is super scalable (used to play it at 1080p/60fps on high on a i7-2600K + 980), as all the PC only features and quality of life you'd expect a high budget game to have etc.
Yes, mostly shitty PCs and they buy no games. PCs are the niggers of platforms.
Mason Campbell
>Imagine being a PC nerd in 2020. imagine giving a shit about ubisoft in 2020
keep your aaa games, consolefag
Evan Sanders
>keep your aaa games, consolefag You bought your 2080ti for indies as I understand. Laughing at your life. Whether you like them or not, AA and AAA games show the true power of each platform, be it pure performance or interests of devs to uptimize for it.
John Hernandez
>can't greentext properly LMFAO and RDR 2 is still the most graphically impressive open world game and it can be played on PC at a far smoother framerate than any console can while still looking better.
Jose Anderson
9700k
and that SSD is from like 10 years ago but I still use it as a boot drive
ps4 does not hold up and plenty of poorfags are still using 970s which came out right around ps4 launch and shit on consoles performance the entire gen.
Fact is AMD's GPU tech sucks and Nvidia will be running circles around them for the next 10 years while you are stuck with budget AMD graphics and no DLSS.
>970 2 generations later, faggot. 680 would be compared to 3080 today. Keep coping and hoping that your overpriced piece of shit card won't get beaten by consoles in the long run.
Daniel Gutierrez
The difference is that 2020 console hardware will remain the same for the next 5 years, even with "pro" versions of consoles, the best they'll achieve is more stable framerate at higher resolutions. Meanwhile what is new hardware today in PC scene will be replaced by better hardware in less than 2 years. Sure, now only high-end rigs have a 30XX series, but that certainly won't be the case 2 years from now, by then the 30XX series will be considered the mid-range standards with new and better performing hardware in the top tier. The good side of PC gaming is that if by the end of the next year new GPUs that floor the 30XX series are out, we can get them, we can upgrade and get the benefits, and if we can't afford it, the 30XX series will be in a much more affordable range, meaning most users will easily beat any current console on the market.
Personally, i don't really care which device gets the best performance at whatever resolutions, if i can play a game, even at low 1080p, on my 3 years old rig, then it beats having to buy a console to play that game, but it's undeniable that even if consoles are/were to be better than current PC hardware, it's an advantage that won't last long, cause on console you're stuck with the same hardware for 5 years, on PC you can get better and better by the year.
Michael Collins
>Long run Yes I am loving ps4 game-play of Cyberflunk 2077
Michael Flores
Oh yeah I bet it works tremendously on GTX 680.
Elijah Davis
pc cucks are in full meltdown mode
Michael Gutierrez
>any of these games
Joshua Ward
no bro you are the one talking about long run, i am not.
Justin Murphy
600 series came out over a year before consoles. rtx 300 series came out a month before consoles. keep paying to play online and get ready to settle into a long generation of the 30 fps gaming you're used to, faggot.
>PS online gaming equals no cheaters online and no dead servers unlike PC's free online LMAO.
Evan Barnes
>AC games have ALWAYS run like shit on PC Ironic considering console versions were running worse.
Logan Richardson
A poorly designed game.
Nathaniel Clark
>new consoles coming out >"maybe we'll get better graphics on multiplat games now" >turns out the new revolutionary console feature is a "stable" 60fps and not better graphix
Anthony Perez
>AA and AAA games show the true power of each platform, Japanese 2A games runs like shit on consoles tho. Both Bloodborne and Persona 5 runs at 30 fps on PS5 right? Well Persona 5 runs at 60 fps on PC.
