Ban Bill

They did pokemon has set rotation though

Bill is strong but Prof. Oak is by far the strongest original set card

How unbalanced is pokemon TCG compared to other card games?

I FLIP SUMMON FIBRE JAR AND FLIP THE TABLE

Attached: 78706415.jpg (421x614, 53.18K)

Bill is a +1, whereas Oak is a +1 if you discard 5 cards which is never going to happen unless you ran no trainer cards. It's insane value.

>computer search into prof oak into bill
Fucking busted.

What the fuck was his problem?

And why did we never see an imposter Oak in either the anime or games?

not really that unbalanced

Is there anywhere to play the tcg for free online?

He was in the Spaceworld leak. It always bugged me as a kid though

How do you know we didn't?

What does pot of Bill do?

Kino incoming

Close, but it isn't this.

This game had no right to have such a nice OST.

>drawing your whole deck in a single turn with retarded engines is fine
>this card isn't
Explain yourselves

lets you draw your whole deck multiple times a turn obviously and allowed you to stall out for a long time in the right deck

Hudson chiptunes are historically really good.

shame the cardpool is small in this game and you end up running sameish decks everytime you play it

This game is perfect for phone emulation.
I still play it daily on the train on my way to work.
You can turn your brain off and just grind away at the pc.

I've been trying the zapdos ftk deck and while the ftk is inconsistent it feels great to pull off.

I genuinely dont understand how they made such good music using the gbc

Current or old? The official client is actually pretty good but you can't play with original set cards.

Pokemon.com/tcgo

haha is this an among us reference
lmao oak sus lmaooooo

the design is fucking cool
why nobody made fanart of cooler Oak?

Old. Like fan made.

Kino time sinker.

Disagree, you always wanted to play 4 bills, but you don't want to always play 4 oaks because you can lose by overdrawing.

Why was this game so good, bros?
And why has nobody made a spiritual successor to it? Fuck even Mario Golf got one.

If you have tabletop sim theres some pretty good early set mods

I remember doing a goldduck focused deck and beating the whole game without an enemy ever using a single attack because they never had enough mana, good shit.

There's an offical pokemon TCG 2 for the GBC but it never recieved an offical english translation. Im sure you can see it on youtube.

Have you played 2? They added the Team Rocket cards and later one you actually have to make decks to fulfil certain conditions to duel people. It's so good and the fan translation's great.

Post deck list

I mean like a tcg version of smogon or something

I play Cyberpunk 2077 and send Zig Forums into a frothing rage.

The gameboy version is extremely good, it's probably the best game on that entire system.
You can download the english patch for its sequel here, which was also good (I completed them both):

As good as the music is, I eventually muted and played them while listening to podcasts. You may also want to bind a button in your emulator to speed up the game - specifically to press when it's the opponents turn.

ElectaMimeStoice was my shit
>Mr Mime basically never dies
>Electabuzz deals a shit ton of damage
>Blastoise was advantage on steroids and would get like 8 thousand energies per turn
I know, and I've been meaning to play it at some point. But I mean something like what Bug Fable is to Paper Mario or Golf's Story is to Mario Golf

It's a lot more passive as there is never really any interaction with your opponent during your own turn. If you want to gimp them, you have to do this during your turn. The modern equivalents of Bill & Oak are reduced to being 'Supporter' cards, and only one supporter can be played per turn. Since Gen V there's always been Pokemon who have much greater HP and moves, but with a caveat of losing two prize cards when they faint. Nonetheless the Pokemon are generally stronger overall, but the draw power isn't as insane and you might have to come up with a draw engine if you want one.

Haven't caught up with it for years as sets rotate out of Standard in bulk, while Expanded is just everything from Gen V onward. The kind of stuff that gets banned though are those who can enable setups that allow you to win in the first turn by removing the opponent's Pokemon off the field, and around at a similar time they imposed a rule where you can't attack on the first turn. One card that used to put bother players' discard piles shuffled back into the deck also got a ban too during Gen VI, and I noticed Expanded banned some early evolution cards too so something must've happened.

Shit user that was a decade ago. Im sure you can figure it out yourself it's a game for 9 year olds.

theres a decent fan translation patch for emulator, the game is quite nice, a whole lot more content. The music is great too,

the fan translation is fine

vote him out

If only there was a way to play this online with lobbies...

I know retroarch has netplay and splitscreen gb multiplayer but I doubt the netplay is active

We did, he killed the real Prof. Oak and take his place.

This thread made me nostalgic, had so many hours on it and had every card except the Card Pop Mew and Venusaur
Just booted it up and got this, I want to die

False, you want to see an Oak in a game so you put 4 in and are fine with discarding some.

>Gen 5
Gen 3 user, Ex pokemon started is RSE

greetings

You found imakuni yet? The strange life form?

Not really, especially the old meta. BJF format really only has 3 viable decks and one of those three kicks the crap out of the other 2 so its not very popular

>asking someone who has a 175 win streak if he's fought the easiest pack grinding enemy in the game

Im pretty sure that i've collected every card that isn't card pop exclusive before I began grinding the pc.
If im missing one im going to kms.

Sounds like free real estate for a quarantine project.

Maybe I'll do a basic version

He was in the music video since the VA for the real Oak died 2 years ago.
