Cool concept and nice visuals ruined by boring repetitive gameplay
It is ma'am
What does anikin have to do with this?
I liked the anomalities and getting to vacation having janitor and him giving the walkman and using the walkman at ashtray maze was kino
white man with that style hair, i honestly think i could sell my hair to women
I like the world building and I liked Courtney Hope in Quantum Break, but this is probably Remedy's worst writing to date. It's a good looking game, and probably has Remedy's best shooting mechanics to date. The characters are really flat, which is a shame. At most, I hope that the sequel improves on a lot of promising elements.
I wish the building literally shifted constantly. Gameplay was neat. Visuals were literally kino. Story ended badly, it shrank instead of expanding.
Overall still happy with my time with it.
TAKE
CONTROL
>can design literally any gun that can do anything, can make any power up you can imagine
>design peestol, daka-daka, shotty, and sniper.
>they are useless because telekinesis is better damage
>upgrades you get are double jump, dash, glide
I guess all budget went to live action segments.
Sounds like every remedy game made in the last decade.
I actually thought it was really good
Flat Design - The Game
Remedy has always been an AA studio trying to mimic AAA productions and especially Control really shows.
Fuck that, the gameplay is really good and they keep things fresh with new areas and powers. You're just throwing random adjectives in there to see if they stick.
This is the level of discussion these fat incel fucks from OAG bring to the board. They're actually upset because Jessi is a grill.
I don’t get how people can sit through generic combat encounters with the same boring ass enemies over and over again and enjoy it. Every Remedy game is such a waste of potential.
i'm playing it, but after like thirty minutes i get bored of throwing stuff at dudes and stop
You will never find your tranny.
You cannot convince me that the main character is a woman.
>by boring repetitive gameplay
I got sick and tired of searching the same copy pasted office rooms, vaults and toilets for single item boxes again and again. I uninstalled the game briefly after getting that floating/flying skill.
I don't ever want to see that fucking same ass motel again or do another boring puzzle in the motel again.
i liked the protag but the other characters are borderline cringe, the gameplay gets really boring desu i'm liking the story so far but sometimes i just want to rush it to the end
Just stop, most of the cast was interesting in an unsettling way. They nailed the atmosphere and tone perfectly.
Interesting that so many people on this board seem to be confused about her gender when in the game's story it's actually unclear if she is a woman at all, or if she's just one half of something that tore into two pieces. Jesse's brother's name is Dylan, and both those names are unisex. It's possible that there used to only be a single individual, Jesse Dylan Faden and it's not clear which gender that person was before the thing that split them happened.
janitor is cool, emily and arish are nice but dylan is meh and the others couldn't care less user
Not him, but for a game dealing with the weird and extraordinary it felt super sterile. Every single character in Control is bland as ever living fuck. There's no human element to any of them and you could switch around their dialogue randomly and have the same result.
Nigger I didn't play the game and I don't care about the story. Look at the jawline on that creature. No natural born woman can look like that. Literally looks like Caitlyn Jenner
>I didn't play the game
>I don't care about the story
Zig Forums incarnate
why is she smiling?
The only thing Control will be known for 30 years from now is that it was one of the first games to implement Ray Tracing. Everything else about the game is the definition of mediocre.
This is going to seem like a cop-out, but Control is from a very mid-00's "make your own fun" style of combat design that zoomers don't seem to enjoy.
Even before getting all the magic powers, I spent 10 full minutes just shooting apart desks with the starting pistol.
It's pretty impressive, wish I made a webm of it.
You sound like a gaming journalist thst doesn't really play games. This game has a nice atmosphere and environments but it gets repetitive way too quickly and new powers do little to keep things interesting. The combat itself is nothing special either, it was at least okay enough to get me to finish the game, but I'll never go back to finish the dlc because of how boring the game is.
This is what I figured too. There are a ton of options, much more than there are problems for you to solve. So players who are used to modern AAA design think that the game is badly designed because they can't figure out what the "intended" way to play is.
>This is going to seem like a cop-out
Nah, it's merely an obvious lie: the game doesn't even try to have the kind of flexibility that would allow for that, both gameplay and level design are pathetically outdated and restrictive even by 2008 standards, and that's excluding Bioshock.
If you truly enjoyed shooting at a desk for minutes to watch mediocre particle effects and prop destruction you have shit taste.
>mediocre particle effects
not that user, but the destruction effects of this game are literally, objectively not mediocre by the definition of the term mediocre.
>I spent 10 full minutes just shooting apart desks with the starting pistol.
That's just you being an autistic. So I guess this game appeals to people with autism, not surprising since the MC acts similarly.
Man I just think things can be fun sometimes
It you play any immersive sim you will just see how bland Control actually is
