>Dark Souls 2 haters think this footage is an argument against the GAME
is there a more pathetic hatebase?
Dark Souls 2 haters think this footage is an argument against the GAME
thanks for reminding me about the bullshit NPC invaders
or was that 3?
they're not bullshit in any game except for maybe the black world tendency invaders in DeS.
>sotfs
>bawwww I can't pvp gaem bad
I forgot just how terrible DS2 looked
No, the NPC invasions in Dark Souls II ARE bullshit because they quite literally cheat. They defy physics and float when pushed off platforms, they cancel their attacks by rolling, even after the point of commitment, meaning they can cancel their attack animations and attack again to catch you rolling.
Demon's Souls has the black phantom NPC being able to sprint and roll through sludge in 5-2 while Bloodborne has NPCs which have infinite bullets to cast spells and unrealistic stats, such as the one in Byrgenwerth. Infinite Call from Beyond.
Dark Souls 1 has the least bullshit NPC invasions. However, being civil ends here; fuck you for trying to defend Dark Souls II's actual bullshit invaders.
Based Armorer Dennis dabbing on baddies.
>dark souls pvp
>dark souls 2 pvp
>dark souls 2 npc pvp
is this a parody video or does that guy actually believe he got cheated?
literally nobody says the pvp in 2 is bad. Its by FAR the best in the series in terms of that. The PVE is pretty bad though. It only really starts getting good around 60% of the way in.
Also what is this video even trying to show? Does this faggot not know he can switch to weapon better suited for this? switching weapons and items during combat is a big part of PVP once you get good, this guy is just mad that he's bad.
it's one of mauler's casual friends, and he uses their footage constantly to try to make a point, and fails miserably, making his friends look like non-gamer buffoons instead.
why the fuck does he use the R2 multiple times?
not surprised though, the greatsword attracts the biggest fucking scrubs, kinda surprised he wasn't using the drangleic set
vgh the days of spank-twitching double decker paris ghost slash shield rotating metabackstab... yo antonio can we get some frame data on that?
>switching weapons and items during combat is a big part of PVP once you get good, this guy is just mad that he's
Based DaS2 drone. Yet again, talking about things they just don't understand! That's an NPC invasion, didn't you play your own game?
not being able to adapt to an npc fight is even more embarrassing.
Hodrick in 3 will read your inputs and oneshot you with a parry while having more health than the boss after him. You gotta summon him though, his invader version is not as strong.
You had your chance, you can't save face now.
I like dark souls 2 but the SOTFS invaders are actual bullshit tier
Git gud. Sharon and Penis the Manace aren't even hard
DS2 is my absolute favorite and I will carry my love for this entry to the grave. Of the few things I will specify are actually shit in DS2, NPC invaders are actually one of them. If it wasn't for the actual animation snapping they CONSTANTLY do, the infinite stamina, and their cartoonishly bloated stats, it'd be the fact that several of them have unique drops that are chance-based, and since they only spawn once per area level, there's a good chance you will literally never see your fancy Predator mask or a few other drops.
npc invaders in DS3 blatantly input read, some are worse than others, though
can't say much about ds3, went through most of the game unembered.
DS2 is hardly a shit game by objective standards, you can do much worse. But it's so much worse than the other games in the series that the only reason I can imagine actually liking it over them is that you played it first, and therefore have nostalgia for it. Anyone claiming otherwise is just delusional.
I'm literally playing it last right now, after sekiro
Well the only reason you will have any problem with npc invaders is because you are complete fucking shit at PVP, pretty sure all this tread was made because he believes Dark souls is a single player game and invaders break the flow of it or some retarded shit like that.
I played it second, then DeS then BB and then 3. It's my favorite.
I've played the whole series and 2 is by far the lowest quality, but that doesn't make it a bad game. I can't even really articulate exactly why, it just feels like it's an early alpha build of a Souls game, or like its the Chinese knockoff that runs on a different engine that so many other popular ips spawn. The design and the worldbuilding and the environments are all great, it just feels bad. It's floaty and weightless, the physics feel off, the lighting and textures in some places are laughable.
My only real complaint with it gameplaywise is some enemies that have infinite poise and stamina and then other places where they make it "hard" by just packing a ton of enemies into a tiny place. Also having to upgrade your rolls iframes is pretty stupid, the game just has way too many stats period.
This thread is more evidence that people hate DS2 because it's too hard. Just admit it.
the problem with pvp in the entire series is the netcode is absolute fucking dogshit, I never felt like I was fighting someone else, I was fighting their connection
DS3 isn't bad but it's still noticeable, earlier games were just completely unplayable unless you were on lan somehow
You can farm for the predator mask though. I have the whole set, I know. In fact I farmed that invader and area so I could 100% the game, I don't even remember why anymore. I 100%'d that game and don't even like it, not sure how I feel about it when I look back now.
Funny that every DS2fag is argument about their game not being a pile of shit is because of pvp even if the pvp is literally the last important thing about the game, even the fucking lore in items is more important, pvp is just to grab zoomers attention since nowdays is all about competitive multiplayer instead of well design singleplayer experiences hence the fact that most areas in this game have a horrendous level design with idiotic enemy placement and worthless bosses, even the suposed "best soulsborne DLC" sucks because they tack on horrible areas like the cave of the dead, iron passage and frigid outskirts and use a shitty excuse for their cancer because "its for coop", seriously anyone that defend this game doesn't know shit about what matters ins a game
these games look so fucking bad
is the only decent souls game Bloodborne? it's the only one that looks like it doesn't play like dogshit. nothing Zig Forums posts about DS makes me want to actually play these games
get friends
Merciless Roenna
DS2 pvp is fucking abhorrent.
The game killed invasions thanks to soul memory and lack of the full orb. I literally wasn't invaded a single time outside the bell towers after my first playthrough back in 2014, it's THAT dead. The arena is trash too - all arenas themselves are horrible, the bridge is literally unusable, the one with a tower in the centre just gives shitters opportunities to run away and heal. The actual pvp mechanics are garbage too, the meta is incredibly narrow and consists of either weapons with good WD attacks or turtling.
Seriously, anyone praising this garbage is an obvious DS2 kiddie. Souls mechanics were never intended for pure pvp but DS2 destroyed the random invasion aspect of the series and this AUTOMATICALLY makes it the worst pvp wise.
Mad Warrior respawns forever, but it's chance based if he shows up in Sol
Christ that skyscraping ass sword was everywhere when I used to play this shit on 360. DS1 pvp I knew fucking fantastically. Don't know what the fuck this game's issues were online and why they basically never got fixed. Ended up playing Armored Core V with some australians on /vg/ than this shit.
>game spams NPC invaders that read your inputs and are overpowered
>ds2 defenders think this isn't a valid criticism about the game's unbalanced shit design
kill yourself
The only truly bullshit invader in 2 was Maldron.
I'm this guy and I disliked DS2 because it looked bad, spent the 2nd half in a literal straight line, felt and played clunky and tried to emulate a connected hub world without the areas feeling connected but rather tacked onto each other by an adjoining corridor. I hated a lot of the bosses for being especially uninspired, and also the ridiculous glitches and bugs that made it unfun. The durability was such a chore and some areas were enormous which required you to keep spares just incase. It's not a terrible game, but it gets so many things wrong, and it just feels second rate and passionless. Also fuck the art design.
The most fun I had was trolling people in PvP. I never played it for PvP, but it did give me some insanely unforgettable moments. It was the only thing that redeemed it for me, because it was so easy to mess with people invading you.
