the game is a solid 9/10. this comes from someone who really doesn't give a shit. Sure, the polish isn't nowhere close to R* level, but I don't really mind.

The only ones who are asshurt are morons with unrealistic expectations. The only true gripe so far is that the city is kinda empty and that the lighting in the game leaves a lot to be desired.

You'd expect it to look as it did in the non-cinematic, in-game trailers. It looks massively downgraded from them in terms of texture and lighting quality, or they were only showing the PC version in the trailers.

It's the PS4 disc running on the PS5, because the PS5 version is not going to be released until early 2021.

Witcher 3 devs left after being crunched into exhaustion and made Ruiner instead of staying at CDPR for Cyberpunk. The people left behind were only good at buying premade textures and didn't train for modern & future architecture or fashion.
A lot of the world is just flat rectangles with some more rectangle paneling cut into the surface with a marquee tool.

it doesn't. The main characters look "next gen", it's just that these nameless npcs like OP are look "okay" is the best word to use.
Honestly I'm more bothered with the fact that they hardly react to your presence; In the time to come you'll see R* games being mention a bunch but for a good reason. Fucking GTAV had npc's reacting to you in a pretty believable way, in CP2077 they're just there.

You'll always have your basic graphic mods that shift the graphics a bit; if you ask me that's more of a placebo effect but a lot of people like it.
