How is that game coming long Zig Forums?

We aren't supposed to have this thread every day. This isn't how it works.

I need a programing thread to ask questions, I havent sween one in a while

I thought it was just on the weekends

go ask for advice on /g/. you may get a better answer there.
you're right. these threads rarely go on for long during weekdays

you sure? I did check there and I didn't found any programing threads (for games) maybe im blind

I haven't had any desire to work on anything for like 2 months now, I just wake up, go to my job, and go to bed.

there's plenty of programming generals you can post in, don't be shy

which ones?

It's not cooming soon enough.

what are you doing

Daily programing, ya dweeb

crtl + f (dpt)

i want to make a browser game using nothing but javascript and html (no frameworks or anything like that). how do i go about doing this? the gameloop of my prior attempt seemed to clog js' main() method, and it doesn't appear js allows concurrency

It's been daily for months now

a shitty rpgmaker project but I lack planning skills so it takes forever and my drawfag ability is relatively low skill too.

Are you doing it by yourself?

yes

I think you should focus on your game mechanics, and programing the most, the visuals came later

Not using the eduke 32 engine/build to make a game.

It was gone for like a week or so just recently.
At least, I didn't see any despite checking pretty regularly.
But yeah if it's going to be daily whoever uses them might as well go to /agdg/. Culture is slightly different but it literally is a general at this point.
I prefer these threads to aggydaggy but a couple of times a week should really be enough.

I worry more about my drawings/illustrations more. I've been staying off Zig Forums drawthreads so I could work on my art for my own game and I don't have any programming skills that's why I had pick up RPGmaker (I'd still need to learn Javascript for MV but I don't find the time to learn it) instead of a proper game maker engine.

Currently planning how to store the character spell / movesets and upgrades
I could easily just hardcode everything for the main character but I'd like to be able to easily reuse it for possible alternate characters and maybe even give the option to create custom characters with custom spells and moves

I'm writing a MUD in the year of our lord 2020. I have no idea why.

Aaaaaaargh motherfuckers. It's so hard to build up motivation.

Also, should I be building environments for a 3d game set inside an underground facility entirely in blender or whatever, and importing them into unity as one large thing, or should I be building them wall by wall etc?

Im no programer, but I think is a universal rule that your skeleton should be rigid and reliable, then you add the details later

i'd miss out on them then. i cant be on Zig Forums all the time you know
>rpgmaker
based

>need to make sprites
>realize I have no artistic ability
>lose all motivation and continue using colored squares as placeholders

These threads have been daily at least since the rise of corona and show more signs of /agdg/ regulars passing by than before. It's over, just move on.

the more modular the better, since it will let you take advantage of instancing and also give you more control over modifying subsections

depends on how you intend to texture them. if you want alot of detail in the texture then wall by wall
if youre ok with all the walls having the same looping texture do it at once
will your facility be straight rooms/hallways?

if i'm the programmer and help with the music, is it selfish of me to demand i be the ideasguy of the team?

yes, no one will work on a game they don't have any input on
you can rephrase it and say you're also the project manager and thus have the final decision

>you can rephrase it and say you're also the project manager and thus have the final decision
that's closer to what i actually meant. i should work on how i phrase things.
