Dub or sub?

dub or sub?

Dub, always for Persona.

For a first playthrough dub, there's just too much spoken dialogue in this game and they talk all the time during combat. The dub is excellent quality too. For a second playthrough sub to keep things fresh.

I normally prefer dub with persona games, but the sub is fine too from what I've heard

how about you play a better fucking game NIGGER

Dub, unless English voice actors use cringe Japanese words like kun, san, etc.

Japanese dub.
Ironic weebs should hang.

Sub

>Game takes place in JAPAN
>Locations are in JAPANese
>Characters names are JAPANese
>Developed by a JAPANese studio
>"DURRR I'm gonna play this in English, Japanese is too weeby"

They're japanese Teens, they're supposed to speak english like all normal kids their age

Persona feels better dubbed to me, I dunno. Same for Danganronpa. But Yakuza dubbed is fucking horrible on every level. I'm hardly ever a dubfag when it comes to anime (Cowboy Bebop and Berserk are the only exceptions) but with video games I'm a lot more likely to go with it, mostly if it's a non-realistic game with a lot of unsubbed audio, like dialogue quips in VNs and combat barks and so on.

I normally like Persona dubs but really didn't like 5's, in particular I don't really like Ryuji or Futaba's voices. The sub is great.

Sub.
Mercer was pretty good for yusuke, though.

It's the only modern persona game with a good Sub. Persona 5 feels way more like a game set in japan than Persona 3 does, and persona 4's Japanese audio is low quality at best.

>DanganRonpa
I'm normally a hardcore dubfag, but I just couldn't with DanganRonpa. I played 1 way back when the fantranslation happened for PSP and when I saw the trailer for the dubbed Vita version I fucking hated it. I didn't think twice about sub for 2, UDG or V3 but is it true they're better?

I played the original release with subs and Royal with dubs. I think both are fine, Futaba was the only character in the main cast I particularly preferred in Japanese, though some minor characters in English were notably worse, like Oda. The original release didn't subtitle some things, like when they were speaking on TV too, which was annoying, but it seemed like they fixed it for Royal. I think they're generally close enough in quality that you can just go for whichever you prefer though, the dub is fine.

Both are great. I went with dub in the base game but they changed voice actors for some characters in P5R and made them worse such as Takemi.

I thought Ryuji had one of the better English voices. I wasn't crazy about Futaba's though.

Danganronpa 2's dub is actually great. Gundham's voice acting in particular is excellent.

>Games that takes place in Japan should be played with dubs
Fucking burgers, you ruin everything you touch.

Reread my post retard.

not a dub if it's the original audio

And I suppose japs never dub shit taking place outside of japan huh?

They don't

uhm sweetie, did you like forget that the game title is in English ... ;) ? ??

ok what does the japanese word persona mean?

The problem for games like Persona is that they don't have subtitles for spoken dialog. So a lot of the spoken banter in dungeons and the overworld is missed.
