Great fight. I just hate the mandatory grinding for this fight

It's not really grinding I mean you go through the battle arena once and you're able to beat him.

It wasn't even a necessary grind. Everyone should've tried out the arena beforehand. Trying out a few floors prepared me for the fight.

ps2 Ryuji final boss is the real filter. without any healing items I couldnt beat him at all, I needed to load a save and replay the last 30 minutes all over again

yea guess so. I just hadnt felt anything was very challenging up to that point, so I never bothered to stack up on healing. that ryuji fight is the only 'hard' part in the entire first two games

This was the best boss fight out of all Yakuza games. It felt like the entire game was just a tutorial leading up to this fight. What a great boss theme aswell. So hype.

Overall, I'd agree. But Majima and Saejima fight was amazing.

turn-based combat is a kino standing shoulder to shoulder with stylish action combat. this is why 7Remake can't recapture the epic moment from the fucking ps1.

I grabbed Kiwami on sale as my first Yakuza game and im curious if I should go back to 0 first or go into Kiwami 2 now? Also I really loved Kiwami.

On top of what the other user said Kiryu is just OP as hell in the dragon engine. They brought back multiple health bars in Kiwami 2 after omitting them from 6, but it makes the bosses feel weaker rather than stronger since you'll be plowing through their health bars in a few hits.

Seriously guys, the fight is amazing but the game was ruined for me with the coin locker baby shit.
