Regardless there are an absolute fuckton of sidequests in the areas that you can visit, and fully completing Belgemine's sidequest will take you about 10 hours out of your way exploring the entirety of the game.

XIII has skippable cutscenes, no stupid shit like the trials and has a way more interesting combat than X. Also, the plot doesn't pretend to be interesting like X does just to drop ball hard at the end, XIII plot is shit since the start so at least you don't feel betrayed with some blunder end.

This game resonates in my memory as the downturn of final fantasy games. It was so bad I turned it off. Every FF after this one also proved itself such a horrible disappointment I ceased buying them altogether.

It takes an hour because of the cutscenes playing. It takes less than 10 minutes to go through it otherwise. I don't know why you are lying this much, the same fucking layout is in FFX-2 and you go through it almost immediately

Yes, then played X-2 and that one did a way better job. First, it actually tries to give you enjoyable side content, second the plot doesn't try to be anything special but actually delivers some good emotional scenes here and there without being forced, X emotional scenes were forced as fuck. The combat is also better and you're allowed to turn off some animations, something pretty unique for a FF game.
The only thing I like about X is the sphere grid, seems broken as fuck to try some fun runs but I can't tolerate anything else about the game so I will probably replay the game again.

I think X didn't age well in terms of how impactful it was, even the game's case tells you about how the game is fully voiced and other technical aspects, these was a pretty big deal back in the early ps2 days but now is just an standard, is nothing special.

The cutscene to gameplay ratio of FFX is about the same as the 3 games that came before it and is only less than one non-mmo game that came after it

By that metric, every area of FFX is a dungeon because there is a boss at the end. Macalania Forest is a dungeon too. Mihen highroad too, why not throw Besaid in there if you're at it.
