The community is a bit dogshit with lots of elitism and meaningless infighting ( not a real fighting game, your game sucks is too easy, in 2020 and so on ) most people feel intimidated to start and lack of good rolemodels in the scene

CS scene I came from, had some good pro or retired pro-players that gives good tips, teach fundamentals and in general are good for people entering the scene, you get a good grisp at the basics and are chill people you can relate with, literal hate this term good vibes magnet
Playing Smash and Tekken mostly, I never found people who really had this same vibe going on, at best Mew2King but he can be a bit autistic.

I took a break from fighting games and i gotta say it's a lot easier on my ego if I lose on a team than if I lose 1v1. I can always blame someone else while also saying I can improve and done better on a team. Fightans don't give that luxury. It's all you 100% of the time with no down time except if you're getting combo'd and even then you have to make sure there isn't some fancy reset about to happen mid-combo.
Only problem now is that there aren't any fighting games coming out that I find interesting. Hopefully AH4 comes soon.

I don't hate fighting games, I just suck at them.
I can get the combos and movement down, no problem.
It's trying to figure out that to do against an opponent I have trouble with.
No matter how much I fight someone I can't seem to grasp when they're gonna do something.
They're probably doing the same things over and over again but I just can't see it, no matter how observant I try to be.
I think my pattern recognition is stunted or something.
