This game was a fun ride , i had an amazing quarantine because of this game

max payne 3 almost suffered because of this shit, and they doubled down on this game. 30fps on consoles with shit delay on top had me raging half my playtime from the controls. i cant believe i played it with free aim.

They are the opposite of shit. What you're seeing is the game prioritizing physics over quick actions. That's a legit criticism, but the animations are slick as hell.

Nigga if anything that's so much excessive animation that it causes delay on top of the input delay that already exists. They do a lot of dumb shit that's "realistic" but did nothing to help the actual experience of playing.
I mean it's neat that Arthur twists his leg and swings his shoulder first pulling his arm back before the rest of his body commits to the turn but that's the kind of shit that's a needless flex that gets in the way of playing. Everything from picking plants, to drawing your gun does this kind of "look at how real we are" animations.

This is a complete non-issue on PC where the game can run at 60+fps without vsync, and isn't also being run through an HDTV. Blame consoles.

It's the same on PC with only slightly less input delay. That shit is all Rockstar's animation priority system.

I think there’s a way to set it so clicking the analog stick makes you run just like every other game instead of Rockstar’s retarded default controls. You should also immediately turn dead zone all the way down and aim/look all the way up.
