I did 50+ runs and I can't say I had a bad time
But I also don't really remember any of those runs specifically. It all kind of bleeds together. Any time I finished a run and there wasn't plot development or new dialogue from a character I cared about, it felt like a waste of time. The immense amount of fresh dialogue keeps it going, without it I don't think I would've played it half is long, which makes sense since most other roguelikes cause me to lose interest pretty fast.

It's pretty good, my main complaint is basically just that a lot of the story/character progression shit is locked behind how many times you encounter/talk to them, and in the cases of the gods, it can mean that you can get the true ending of the game, ((which already takes several full clears)) and would still need potentially like 10/15 more runs to unlock more affinity conversations with them.

Made by supergiant so it probably has mediocre gameplay and try too hard with the soundtrack.

This, even up into the 40/50 run range I was still getting like 90% new dialogue for basically everything.

the core gameplay gets stale quick, the different guns kinda save it but it should have like five times more rooms and enemies. also tumblr writing is at odds with amazing voice acting.

They're not only a test of your skill but also a test if your build is worth a shit.

I assume you mean Asterius and Theseus, IMO not much you really need to do is get gud + focus on one of them, then the other, so you don't get overwhelmed.

Anyone else start thinking that Artemis and Ares had the worst boons only to find out Doom and Crit are both really broken?

My favorite one is Zeus but it needs a lot of his boons to reach critical mass in strength. But whenever you go for a fucking Zeus build the motherfucker never show up after you get 1-2 boons from him.

they are both skill check and build check. if you can beat them with shit build then you are good to go, if you cheesed them you are good to go as well.

they're not that hard, bull only has like 3 attacks, and theseus only has 3 also. stay glued to the bulls back and just fuck him up.
same thing with theseus, he telegraphs his aoe attack and you can just hide behind pillars for his spear throw.

My first finished run of Hades I thought it was amazing, but after you keep doing the same runs over and over, you'll realize so many flaws. Only has three fully fledged areas, mostly the same boss and subbosses and no unique enemies in future runs or not even mixing them up, the time consuming grinding for blood titans so you can get new aspect or upgrading it gets annoying, wanting to finish the fucking side quests but it all depends if you run into the NPC , etc. It loses all it's magic and it becomes a chore to play even when you set the heat to 20+. Doesn't help that even when you get Persephone, story doesn't end technically end there, there is still the true epilogue but it's pretty fucking weak and lame that the credits didn't happen AFTER you reconcile with the gods.
Artemis has one of the best boons in the game solely for support fire where you can combine it with other multi-hitting attacks or casts. I find Ares boons only work in combination when you have the gun at your disposal and you can stuck it's effects.

arthemis is great if you're looking for cast duo boons, that along with PP, Support fire and her legendary make it fun.

i dont like ares' doom its too slow, i would only pick it if im doing a revenge boon build, otherwise beyblades is pretty fun
