He got banned for 2 seconds of boobies because the game he played was a mod, and nudity is banned in mods to avoid shit like streaming Skyrim sex mods. He's not upset about it and said he understands (he did technically break the rules), but still thinks the rules should change a bit to avoid this type of situation

Vinny is legitimately the only streamer that I can tolerate. He doesn't do bullshit shoutouts for subs, follows, and donations. You can tell when he's having a good time and he doesn't have a grating personality. He also honestly seems to appreciate his audience.

I mean, it's probably fair to expect something like that in something Blade Runner related. But if it's a mod, how would he have known unless someone told him?

Therein lies the issue with it. Because under this reasoning, someone could install a bunch of sex mods for Skyrim or nude mods for Resident Evil 2 Remake and stream that, and claim they didn't know those mods did that and try to push boundaries. So to prevent that kind of dickish behavior, Twitch's rules state that boobies in base games are fine as long as they aren't from a porn game, but there's a blanket ban on boobies in mods.

Obviously to anyone with a brain there's a difference between streaming a Skyrim sex mod and streaming a Blade Runner mod that reuses assets from the films, but Twitch's admins don't want to have to deal with constant arguments about what constitutes the boundaries between porn and art in streaming modified content.

There's a similar rule on Zig Forums for boobies too, nudity in actual anime or manga scenes won't get you a ban and is allowed to be posted, but show sex scenes from doujins or fanart and you'll get a ban, because that's derivative content.

What's a bit weird to me is that Vinny has never seen anime except for Akira a few months ago. I'm only two years younger than him, and even I grew up watching anime on daytime TV. Maybe it wasn't that big yet in 90's America? But here we had anime in the kids program for as long as I can remember. I don't even watch anime anymore since my mid-teens, but it's weird that he has no experience with it.

I think his vetting team needs to actually do their job, for one thing. If they aren't personally giving the content he's about to play a once over then what's the fucking point? Don't tell me that's unreasonable because there's dozens of autists with all the time in the world to do exactly that, and they'll do it for free too. I think it just boils down to Vinny being too nice to crack the whip on his team and they're probably disorganized as fuck which is why we get so many slip ups. Just a guess.

His only experience with anime, or more specifically the "anime aesthetic" is limited to really shitty shovelware or meme games he plays on sundays.
Combine that with his young audience who also doesn't have much exposure to the medium, and you get a huge "ewwww anime is weird" sentiment echoed over and over.
