Shenmue II
Best: Yakuza 0 / 7
Worst: Yakuza 3
Worst gameplay/hardest: Yakuza 3.
Yeah, they're pretty much action JRPGs, while Like A Dragon is a full on turn based JRPG with more classic JRPG elements.
>1 is pretty janky now but the game is not too bad.
>2 has a refined combat system that still holds up pretty well and it's one of the better stories in the series.
>Kenzan is a Japan-exclusive samurai game set in the 1600s where you play as a samurai bodyguard who takes on an assassination mission.
>3 is considered one of the weaker entries and has a lot of really weird plot points. But it also has it's moments and a few unique things.
>4 introduces new characters to play as, which is pretty interesting. But the story is a mess and the game ranges from garbage to pretty good.
>Dead Souls is a really poor zombie shooter game. The framerate is terrible and the plot makes no sense. It can be fun to laugh at the characters in an apocalypse setting, but it's not worth playing.
>5 has the most content in the series, so it's one of my favorites. The story is pretty weird again, like in 4, but it's worth putting up with to play as 5 characters in 5 different cities.
>Ishin is another samurai spinoff set during the 1800s. It's a murder mystery where you infiltrate the special police force and one of the better plots in the series, but unforunately only in Japanese again.
>0 is considered one of the best games. It has two really good main characters in two cities during the 1980s. It's the game that made the series popular in the west.
>Kiwami is a remake of 1 using 0's assets and engine. It's not too bad, but it has some controversial changes.
>6 has a similar vibe to 3 and it's one of the weaker entries. It's on a new engine, but it's a little unrefined.
>Kiwami 2 is a remake of 2 on 6's engine, which has been refined a bit to work better now. It cuts some of the cool moments from 2, but it's a better remake than the original Kiwami was for 1.
>Judgment is a spinoff featuring a former-lawyer detective who is investigating a serial killer murdering yakuza in Tokyo, and the plot unfolds from there. It's one of the best stories in the series.
>worst
Most definitely 6.
>best
Subjective, but most people will say 0.
>hardest
I would say 7, but they're all easy.
I am fine with 3 and 6. Suck my cock.
fucking secondary
I've played 0, Kiwami, Kiwami 2, 3, and Judgement
taking a break playing Trails of Cold Steel before I continue with Yakuza
So far, I honestly can't say a single one was what I would call "bad". Everyone said Yakuza 3 was the worst so I was expecting it to be bad going in but I thought it was gud, Okinawa sections were kino.
Honestly, I don't think there is a "bad" game in it.
In terms of difficulty, literally none of the Yakuza games are hard EXCEPT for the Amon fight in every game which can range from tough but fair to ridiculously unfairly hard and requiring you to basically cheese.
Based
3 is the ultimate chigyu-filter

Kiwami 1
>Dead Souls bad
Dead Souls is great when it doesn't fall to -6 FPS.
best - 7
worst - 4
Why do people hate 6 so much?
Not really the thread for it but where do I find those fucking pseudotrash enemies in Yakuza 7?
The normal ones, I remember fighting them a few times in the commercial district but now that I need one for the Hero shit, I of course can't find a single one after turning the whole place upside down.
It's pretty meh in everyway. And the cutscenes are probably the weakest in any Yakuza game tbqh, too much talking without showing anything.
Gameplay wise, People went from controlling four different characters with four different styles in 4/5, to two characters with 8 total fighting styles in 0, to one heavily neutered fighting style in 6.
Story wise, it's way more of a slow burn than the originals and most of the new characters are either caricatures or don't get enough screentime except for that one Onomichi Yakuza grunt.
new engine being pretty janky in a bad way, haruka being turned into the dumbest character in the series who actively made Kiryu's life turn for the worse.
The OST is pretty great though

Either 0 or Judgment

K1
Combat just felt very basic for what it was and had no excuse for it, and while I liked a new area it felt like a bunch of nothing. Also
So just like her mom then?
Just finished the first game last night. I'm REALLY annoyed that I never got to use the Dragon form at all because it was completely useless. I apparently missed multiple critical side stories that would give me basic shit like the XXXX combo, and by the time I realized it, I was locked out of getting some of them (I think around Chapter 7 or 8 locks out Jewel or whatever that cabaret is entirely).
You know which Yakuza game mostly sucks Balls? Yakuza 5. Know what one chapter really weirdly makes up for it all? Haruka's. This deserved to be it's own game, FUCK hunting bears in the snow, give me more meet & greet and night time city dance battles.
Also Haruka is fucking TALL for a Japanese girl and i think that's based as fuck, it's surely a very cute thing to be in a sea of short girls.
Ranking games is low IQ
1 because it was before I realized the games were all going to be the same shit.
>Best
Yakuza 2 or 0

Kiwami 2, Dead Souls is a runner up, but the story is just that entertaining

Kenzan

Yakuza 5 or 0. Like A Dragon is really good too, so far.
>Worst
3 or PS2 Yakuza 1
>Easiest
None of them are particularly difficult but I found that Judgement had the least amount of Bullshit in it, even on Hard and with the more limited healing items.
>Hardest
Unless you want to count PS2 Yakuza 1, which controls like ass and has a lot of poorly balanced fights, I'd say 4 is probably the most traditionally difficult.
Kind of? They are all RPGs but the combat is action focused and they don't have the job or skill systems, instead focusing on upgrade trees and things like that. Still have a lot in common though with inventories, random battles, etc.
7 is piss easy just time consuming.
Haruka is also a retard who ruined the ending
And also ruined 6
Im so used to Japanese characters being sexless that the idea of Haruka's 17 year old hairy pussy getting POUNDED with some guys cock until his dick feels so good from the thrusting against her tight walls that he orgasms and load after load shoots out of his nuts into her cunt is WILD to me.
Bet she fucking liked it to.
