No I have a very valid reason to hate it. When I first started playing the main focus of the game was on the PVE main story line. I wanted to do shit like have a massive fucking base, invite randos, and kill zombies by the hundreds. But they wouldn't introduce recurring quests to defend your base. The gameplay was fun, the guns were great, but over time they started focusing solely on the multiplayer battle royale because that's where the money is.

Fortnite could be a genuinely good game. In some respects it is, but it has completely failed in any meaningful way. It's great at generating money from the wallets of disappointed parents, but that's about it. It's yet another game that had amazing potential only to be squandered

I dont understand why they arent making a no build mode. Everyone will be happy. Build sweaties will play against other build sweaties. The playerbase is huge so there wont be matchmaking issues. And if the mode dies, it dies.

That's the complaint, they ditched the original gamemode that could have been good if they actually worked on it for the new battle royale mode that wasn't a thing until later. And it's obvious why they did, it was monetary reasons. And yes I did play that gamemode, other people did too but since it wasn't the most popular mode they never actually did anything to it. Simple things like making an endless zombie wave mission for base defense and allowing other players to join in a match making system would have significantly increased traffic.

The reason nobody played it is because it was neglected.

The part at the start is the enemy shooting down the wall and the player spamming up a new wall instantly (imo the biggest fucking issue with building) the rest is fairly easy to do if you change your settings.
You can have it set to hold the button to instantly build, requiring you to only have to look in a direction to build there and swapping what piece you're building.

I played saved the world with friends, it was fun for a few days before it got fucking tedious. Battle Royales aren't my thing, let me know when a new tribes game is out or a better planetside2
