Well, I haven't played it since it still hasn't been translated (and probably never will be, unless Extra Record does well enough to warrant a CCC remake), but hypersexuality is a huge taboo in media and a game that explores the idea is probably well worth reading even if just for the fresh experience.

Extra is getting a remake called Fate Extra Record. As for CCC, its up in the air. Nasu said he wants to remake it afterwards, but wonders if he'd even be able to get away with releasing a game as lewd as CCC in the current year.

it's inferior to extra in most regards, since extra was new but familiar at the same time, using the established rules of other Holy Grail Wars as a framework with which to channel it's Moon cell story. Ccc throws out all the rules on the basis of Imaginary Numbers bs (relying pretty much entirely on how misunderstood imaginary numbers are in reality), doing retarded shit like declaring that a maiden's heart is the most powerful thing ever, and having sadism sessions be an integral part of the story, where it's sequel was grounded in the real politics of Earth seeping into the hgw and how the various players all fit into that world. it also remind heavily on that now classic (read:overplayed) gimmicks of every character playing a vital part and having a previous enemy come to your side in the most desperate hour to save your ass.
Extra's theme was about growing up and becoming an actualized individual, thus the main character starts out the game hesitant and Afraid but towards the end grows more and more Resolute and self-assured. in CCC this is completely backtracked on(partly because it's taking place in the middle of extra, diverging at some point in the middle of the story) so that instead of the main character making decisions and figuring things out on his own it's about everyone else acting around him, going from a story about a blank slate becoming a person into just a regular self insert blank slate played straight, which of course linked to extella and thesubsequent Harem garbage.
Gameplay was also significantly simplified and made easier, where extra was trying to do a Dungeon Crawler thing CCC just threw up his hands and decided to be a visual novel with game elements.
As far as the servants go the only one with a decent individual story is Gilgamesh, with Archer's story being so bad that most of his fans hate it...
