Of course FFXVI will be forgotten just like TLOU2, Ghost of Trashima, Unsharted 4, Gays Done, Cringe Stranding and other casual Sony movies because that's what they are aiming to be, movies with no replay value. It's over before it even began, FF16fags. Also, even Sony movies get more hype. This shit got no word of mouth, no anticipation whatsoever. It will be lucky to sell 2 million copies on PS5 and break even given its smaller budget compared to the previous mainline games.

FF7 released in the same year as SotN, Breath of Fire 3, Abe's Oddysee, and Mega Man Legends. The previous year had Panzer Dragoon 2, Resident Evil, Metal Slug, Quake, The Neverhood, and Tomb Raider.
FF7's visuals were not considered groundbreaking at the time. It was FF8 where they had the major graphical facelift.
