Yeah, I get it. The AI turns taking so long is my main gripe with the game. But mechanically it's really good - 2 versions of upgrades, pretty well balanced skills, sub skills, cool faction-specific abilities etc.

yeah, there is an ai mod for that, but it doesn't really fix it, it just makes it slightly more bearable

Not much is known about Song of Conquest, but it's supposed to be a Heroes of Might & Magic inspired game that was announced last year, so keep an eye on that.

There was a PS2 version that was actually half decent.
I remember ghosts being hilariously broken on it as they converted 100% of anything. Instantly You could find yourself accidentally over stacking them and they would defect mid fight

Watched that seth video where I got the info from. He claimed to be using cheat engine to speed up the AI to match homm 3 speeds. Kind of flawed if you ask me
