im so fucking hooked on this shit. my attention span in video games has waned to the point where i can only typically play for like 15 minutes a pop. im playing rdr2 for 2-3 hours on average.
why's is this game so much better than everything else Zig Forums?
Because it's slow and deliberate. Games these days are all about super fast paced bullshit to try to keep up with people's attention spam, which in fact is the opposite of what should be happening. ge
Juan Taylor
the atmosphere is top notch
Lincoln Phillips
because it's a look back at the glorious past of our nation albeit a little whitewashed for modern sensibilities.
Anthony Harris
The online is pretty cool. I just wish we had more things to do.
The world is great. RDR2's main problem is the overly strict on-rails mission structure.
Joshua Ramirez
>why's is this game so much better than everything else Zig Forums? Because it's NuFun. You don't enjoy games for being an interactive medium anymore, you enjoy them for graphics and story.
Nicholas Thompson
> Have the worst gunfights in videa
Thanks but no thanks
Parker Brown
meaby on consoles
Christopher Baker
I have it on PC. And the gunfight still sucks. Graphics are amazing but there's no weight to weapon, even the first on PS3 had better gunfight I don't know why.
Leo Baker
i took some photos with my posse on that studio but i don't know where they went
Cite me ONE good gunfight moment in the game? I can cite good story moment but good gunfight moment ? No
Liam Gomez
you said there's no weight to weapons, that's a lie if anything that's one of the best parts of the game. you don't even need to shoot it, you can feel the weight of the guns you're carrying just by walking around and aiming at things
I like the animation of the guns but I feel nothing when I kill someone. The AI is also not very good. In RDR 1 there was more reaction when you killed people. The death animation was more funny and more "Western" ish
Connor Morris
Because there is actual effort put into the single player. Its a fine crafted experience. Savor it, for it is the last single player game Rockstar will ever make after the cashcow that was GTA Online. RDR3 and GTA6 will just be online modes.
Tyler Cook
RDR2 copers are fascinating Slow paced? What are you talking about mate? You genocide entire towns mission after mission.
Gabriel Rivera
You also get to make coffee, slit your bullets one by one, track and hunt animals, brush your horse, get your beard cut and take a bath, there's hours of just downtime
David Jones
People are always going to enjoy video games for different reasons than you and there's not a single thing you can do about it. >What if I use an analogy involving shit? No, I'm afraid that won't stop them either, but cope however you like.
Oliver Young
>no weight to double barrell shotgun
calling bullshit
Lincoln Reed
You can do all that in other games. You can turn Skyrim into a sightseeing simulator but that's the choice the player can make, that's self limiting but the main components of game is actually designed to throw you into these over the top action segments. You can see it in the controls as well. The game is primarily designed around shooting badly programmed AI in the head.
Cooper Garcia
It is extremely immersive. You are getting sucked into it and enjoying it. I don't know why you made this thread, but just fuck off and go enjoy yourself. The people here will do nothing but whine.
Angel Cook
definitely strongly disagree here. Replayed RDR1 recently, everything feels so light and arcadey.
John Moore
Verisimilitude.
Cooper Turner
>RDR 1 there was more reaction when you killed people. Thats a load of shit. You obviously havent seen someone bleeding out from a neck wound, or seen their corpse twitch when you shotgun their head off.
Chase Bailey
Nah gonna stop you right there, just jumped into the thread and he's completely right, weapons feel weightless. I was able to switch from my pistol to my rifle and it didn't feel different at all.
Juan Morgan
okay cope
Landon James
that time I tore up St. Denis getting ambushed by bounty hunters
Hudson Fisher
This is one of the only games where I legitimately could spend hours just walking around TRYING to get shit done and in the end, do very little, and still be satisfied for it. The story disappoints in the end but man, it's one hell of an experience. OP needs to fuck off and play it at his own pace and not get spoiled.
It's baffling how Rockstar has one of the best TPS's ever made, MP3, and completely failed to bring any of its great mechanics, Euphoria ragdolls, weapon impacts etc etc over to GTA V or RDR2.
Daniel Bailey
>The story disappoints in the end what? in what way? I loved the game and the story was really good (barre a few notable moments), but the ending was great. also, >OP needs to fuck off and play it at his own pace and not get spoiled. this. Get out OP while you still can
