I wish I had the "fuck you, I liked it" mentality, because I'm kinda sad people hated this gem

It's actually one of my favorite FF titles.

I'm sorry for your shit taste. Hope it gets better for you.

>shit story
>shit gameplay

great taste user

Fuck you, I liked it.

>gem

perhaps try some other rpgs user? youll quickly realize why so many were sour

its better now than when it came out

I like this game solely for the bro road trip part.

lol must suck to be you bro

It's a great road movie / camping with friends simulator
I also loved the story and it really isn't more retarded than FF8, for example. 7 and 8 felt like masterpieces because we all played them as teenagers.

I think the main 4 were really cool and honestly made everything else bearable

Maybe don't expect it to be a pure rpg.
I played a ton of rpgs in my youth but I kinda grew tired. What I haven't played that much are open world games, because I avoided them for the longest time. Maybe my standards for open worlds aren't that high because of it. I also didn't bother with every boring fetch quest and only did the things I considered fun. Before getting the flying car, which made everything amazing as fuck, I usually fast-traveled whenever I could.

Why are they all wearing black leather

I liked it too, but I can accept that it's not a very good game.

It was a neat road trip with bros experience
technical and narrative nightmare, though

I really, really wanted to like it. But god it was just... sigh....

Sorry OP. I wanted to love it. There were certain aspects of it that I loved, but I just couldn't even finish the game. I guess I liked the "bros going on an adventure/road trip" feel, and I liked the atmosphere of sitting in one of those murrica-style full service gas stations with the blues music blaring, but the combat and story just didn't reel me in enough.

I enjoyed it but it is not a finished game

Is it worth buying the complete edition if I get it cheap?

every final fantasy is dogshit so the kind of people who like any final fagshit are already half primed and conditioned to like this asinine low IQ trash

So are Final Fantasy games going to be this whole action thing where you only control the MC from here on out like Kingdom Hearts? It kind of makes me sad honestly.

I wanted to like it so damn much but it was empty and hollow

>gem
Like whatever you feel like it but don't try to tell me XV is not a giant piece of trash

>7 and 8 felt like masterpieces because we all played them as teenagers
Speak for yourself

>I liked this game
>it's bad
>w-well I haven't played many other open world games
So your bar is extremely low, got it

The release version was bad, the final version we have now with all the fixes is actually pretty good.

But Zig Forums likes XIII more because waifus and lolis.

I didn't like XV a whole lot but if there was one positive thing I'd have to say about it, it's that at least it's not XIII.

>but it is not a finished game
Maybe when it was first released, but at this point saying this is just retarded.

If you like it, like it user. There is no rule that says you have to agree with any kind of majority or consensus.

Yeah

This. Gameplay sucked, no story, then that ending hit and I was almost tearing up and was like why couldn’t this shit just be good?

I kinda wanna try it but every time I see footage it just looks like a bad game.

Ending was good. I really liked that they didn’t really tell you what was gonna happen or happening until it did. Made his final moments more impactful. And that last campfire scene holy hell

To this day XIII is the only game I've ever fallen asleep to while playing yet I'd still take it over XV

The gameplay was horrible. If it was at least decent I could have gotten past the mediocre story. It stings even more when you consider square already had the blueprint for a great action rpg system in KH2, but instead went with this travesty.

I'm kinda glad they canceled the DLCs with the new ending.

Noctis and Lunafreya dying was the best course for this history, it was the end of the King lineage and everything.

I'm just sad because I wanted to play as Lunafreya and Aranea... focusing on Ardyn was just stupid.

I wish they changed more the characters in the future. Everyone looks the same with new clothes.

Prompto beard is a joke.

A literal game about hanging with your bros. Wish were games were like it. 10/10

if you think costing less will magically make a terrible game any more worth your time then yes

consider buying an actual real videogame or a hamburger with that money though, something that has nothing to do with the cod of japan (except infinitely more casual and aimed at 6 year olds and women instead of a competitive game aimed at 14-18 year old boys)

youve never had friends if you think anything about final fagshit XV even remotely resembles real human interaction let alone friendship between men/ boys

I'm replaying it right now, it's not amazing but serviceable I guess

It was comfy as fuck, but was such an unfinished game, had lots of potential, but looks like they cut 60% of the content.

XV's MCs kinda skip the whole "show an actual friendship develop" step and go directly into "retarded jokes between ourselves every five minutes" for the entire game until the timeskip.
