Enviosity cleared Abyss 12 without any cleanses (Anemo Traveler, Amber, Noelle, Barbara, Xiangling, Lisa, Kaeya) but I'd imagine most people are actually spending some primogems to roll on stuff.
I mean, fire slimes are a key sign that mihoyo is not afraid to completely invalidate some characters in fights
