why is communism portrayed in such a negative light in vidya? Is there any game that actually portrays them as the good guys instead of amerikka?

Because the US government pays video game publishers to inject propaganda in their games.

There are a few games (especially WW2 ones) where Communism is good, but none to my knowledge where America is evil as well.

communists ruin communism
you people are all weird faggots, george orwell was right about you

dead ideology so why waste time on it other than generic bad guys

communism is barely ever portrayed as an ideology with ramifications for narrative or gameplay mechanics, it's usually just a paint of color for different factions in RTSes

wew lado

Communism doesn't work OP.

go back to bunker underage white

>totalitarian utopian lay religion
>portrayed in a positive light

Disco Elysuim is pretty much the only game where this is kinda a thing. Though the devs are pretty cringeworthy even for a lefty like myself.

Seize the means of cute and funny girls, comrades.

Define “working.” What exact terms would be required for you to say Communism had “worked?”

PROTIP: Whatever you say, it’ll lead to either Communism working several times over, or Communism never working, but capitalism also never working when held to the same standards.

people would probably be more open to communism if the average lefty wasn't either a massive soiboi faggot or an edgy humour fringe politics faggot

i really don't see the point in being a lefty if you are surrounded by people like that.

>why are pieces of shit portrayed as pieces of shit
look

Neither do you

Fuck off back to bunkerchan retard

Name one nation that has explicitly embraced socialism (not social democracy, socialism), or communism that hasn’t:
1. Become a third world shithole
2. Become an authoritarian dictatorship
3. Collapsed outright

When your peaceful and egalitarian ideology always degrades into authoritarian poverty, maybe there’s a flaw with your ideology. There are capitalist success stories and capitalist failures, there’s virtually no communist success stories without authoritarian dictatorship.

>In b4 BUT THE AMERICANS DID MEAN THINGS
And communists explicitly tried to undermine the democratic/capitalist system of the west too. The Cold War was fought by both sides, and one side couldn’t keep up.

there's no incentive to do anything different for a big budget studio. look at

there'd be loads of backlash for straying from the dominant school of thought, anathema to risk-averse, investor-driven studios. games in general don't engage with challenging themes in a meaningful way, at best you get far cry 5 which feigns at it for a marketing gimmick and then pulls every single punch in-game, or a purely aesthetic choice like an other poster mentioned

film and literature can do this and their audiences can deal with, but gamers cannot handle anything challenging to their worldview

then why china wins

Disco Elysium, i guess
Since most games are made in America, there a not many of them. you have to look to Europe, Asia and others for more leftist themes

I'm more pro-socialism than communism. Communism has a bad taste in peoples mouth and isn't going to go away. Socialism does too but I think that's more due to ignorance of people like Rush Limburgh spending the last 20 years pretending he knows what Socialism is and think it's communism.

Anyways another game I thought of was I guess call of duty World at War. It does portray the Communists in a good light I guess, but obviously the americans are still there.

Easy, Cuba.

communism lost. same reason nazis are portrayed negatively

>In b4 BUT THE AMERICANS DID MEAN THINGS

Kinda weird to undermine years of america's oppression of countries and minorities (not including the cold war), like you forgot slavery existed but ok lol.

American is pretty damn close to becoming an authoritarian dictatorship. Just a reminder 70 something million idiots voted for trump.

jewmerica is a side character in this epic game, communists are the good guys but they have a dark side, just like any good story shows
even though cold war is ass, the communist ending where you nuke europoors and kill retard cia niggers is probably the best one

It's crazy how the CIA tried really hard to fuckover cuba.

>then why china wins
>90% of their population are stone age farmers that drink from polluted ground wells and shit in their cabbage fields

My family lived and starved under communism. What is your real life experience with communism?

The people who advocate for the working class in my country aren't working class.

The same reason why racism is portrayed so, its simply controversial and politically incorrect. Game companies often prefer to avoid controversy.

Only people who could portrait communism good are the Chinese (who dont make many games known to the west) and Russians (who prefer doing gameplay-heavy games instead of "cinematic experiences").

>Is there any game that actually portrays them as the good guys instead of amerikka?
Just go with Workers and Resources. Its politically neutral, even if the developers made some sort of politically correct statement, which riled up the Russian part of their fanbase.

Zig Forums used to play a game called Crisis in the Kremlin, basically it starts you in the 1980s and you have to try keep the USSR together. (or destroy it if you're a Liberal)

Have you talked to Cubans, instead of only using your romantic projection? They hate Cuba.

every hour is america hour, it just so happens that the ones with fucked sleep schedules are often older than fucking fifteen.

Most pro-communist people are from the Western world. Rising their arm, carrying Soviet flags, singing L'Internazionale, but never visiting the worst areas of Estonia or Bulgaria or Moldova to see the results of their beloved Soviet influence.

It's also hard to get medicine and the food there is low quality but GO OFF.

Because communism (or socialism, for that matter) has never existed in practice. Only autocratic regimes claiming to be so, and they tend to be enemies of America

ahhh, true communism

You haven't visited Cuba or if you did, you stayed in tourist areas.

george orwel was a butthurt retard who couldn't get over how big a chad stalin was

You’re so right, only America has ever done mean things I forgot:
The Soviet Union conducted a starvation campaign across Eastern Europe that resulted in more deaths than the Holocaust just to silence dissent (Holodomar).
The Chinese Communists murdered enough of their own people at Tiananmen to match 9/11 3 times over for having the audacity to protest for democratic representation.
Castro purged any gays and Christians from his island dictatorship by execution or throwing them to the US.
But America did bad things, so all of these atrocities can be ignored. I thought communism was supposed to be an enlightened, moral, peaceful ideology, what happened?

>But people voted for Trump!!!
And? They voted for the candidate of their choice? Also, for an ultra-evil fascist, Trump was just peacefully voted out of office. My god, what a dictator.

Also, I notice you deflected from one of my questions, “Why do all communistic nations devolve into authoritarianism?” I’ll ask another question, building off your mention of Trump, who voted for Mao? Who voted for Stalin? And why didn’t their constituents vote them out?

geoism shits all over your ideology and is far superior. kys bunkertranny

Same. They're usually people that lives in expensive homes filled with luxury.

Delusional mutt. Most of Cubans like their regime.

>Developing country is developing.

Pic related is Republican party puppet state Honduras.

any capitalist nation would have collapsed under the pressure the US brought against it.

not real gommunism™

Most cubans aren't human so

And it all amounts to a measly $8,000 average annual income.

>Gomunism
>where we are all forced into a life of poverty and starvation except for the fat and wealthy inner party members

Communist dictatorship that still relies on a rationing system for their legal food sales due to their impoverished society?

Even your best choice, is still led by a crackpot dictator, living with technology from the 50’s.

recently I watched 'The Soviet Story' documentary. Every school kid in the west should be made to watch it, there'd be a lot less misguided people parading around in I-love-communism XD t-shirts.

Star Trek

Because Communism is evil and has killed millions every time it's tried.

so like... what if workers worked for themselves, like owning the factory you know, with no borders, and also no goberment, just workers working on factories in a borderless world... I mean this will be the consecuence of rich people owning stuff, they will own the whole world one day so they won't be able to make more money cause they will already own everything, but then the workers will revolt and have their own factories, no law, no goberment, just workers in factories, forever.
Me? No I don't work.

This is a lie. Not only did russians in 1993 vote to keep the socialist system (which was simply ignored), but a majority today claim things were better under the ussr.
