Tfw no yakza 3 on PC

There's no reason to play PS3 3 unless you can read Japanese. It's objectively inferior to the remaster due to the remaster having all the cut content brought back and a proper translation that gets rid of censorship. Three substories are removed (The ones tied to Michiru) but over 20 are brought back in addition to multiple minigames and game modes in postgame, and the imperial Japanese flag was changed to something else for one of the Tojo Clans.

4 censors a joke Akiyama makes about rape and introduces hip new 420 poggers memes into either a substory or that one story bit where you chase the nerd around (Which if I remember right still had the 420 "joke" in the original).
5 rewords a bunch of stuff but that's as much as I know that changes. 5 HD should mostly be the same as 5 just with the few untranslated minigames translated and coliseum enemy names translated.

They said they have no idea when to release Ishin because they've been busting out release after release to catch us up with Japan so they're worried they've oversaturated the market in a short amount of time and potentially prematurely hurt their brand because of it so they're holding out with Ishin right now.

They originally didn't release it because we dumb Americans couldn't understand a self-contained story about embellished Japanese history that explains itself to you as if you never went to history class in Japan according to one of the Sega reps asked years ago. Then a couple years ago they were talking about it but never said anything concrete. The interview from a couple months back is as concrete as it has been in years.

covid is fucking japs development schedule up, and that's no doubt the reason a new game hasn't been announced this year.
they could probably bring it over here next year, assuming RGGS don't just fart out an announcement next month.

Yeah, I can see them just make a PS5 patch for Japan to placate that side of the pond and then release a PS4/5 release of Ishin some time next year. They obviously want to pace themselves considering that interview so a good nine months or more would work. The only issue they're going to face is people comparing Ishin to Nioh, Ghost of Sushi, and Sekiro now and they'll be comparing the game graphically to 7 if it's out on PS5 so who knows how that would go from a marketing perspective.

So? Just get the collection on PS4, it's cheap, it's 60fps and it will all work on PS5 too if you happen to get one of those.

Any game drops in quality the moment it forces you to play a Saejima chapter. 5 is fucking lucky the Haruka chapter is good enough to be it's own spin off game if it wanted.

Han, Zhao, and Adachi are at least contributing something while Saeko and Nanba are either barely doing anything helpful as evidenced by the fact that Nanba doesn't even know how to fight and is just using what he read to do it (Told to us during the Sawashiro 2 fight) and Saeko is literally just a random woman who worked at a bar. They're probably contributing in some minor way but Ichiban, Han, Zhao, and Adachi are absolutely the ones primarily fighting people and taking the brunt of everything. Note how during the Saejima + Majima fight they're all panting but Ichiban's the only one who really had the crap kicked out of him, and then during the Kiryu fight it doesn't even look like anyone but Ichiban got hit? When Ichiban is resting on Saeko's lap and he turns to face everyone they don't even look like they fought at all.

Keep in mind that Ichiban literally stands there taking full force punches to give the enemy a "Turn" and only randomly decides to evade.

i guess it's a good thing they made him strong, since it means they can do a lot in terms of the genre of future games and stuff.
maybe he'll get to a point where he can almost rival kiryu, and can tackle a lot on his own.
