>the virgin Semi-Auto vs. the chad Mine Sniper

>and why is it the Punisher ?

the pistol

idk I feel like weapon choice doesn't matter since every gun feels OP cuz of how easy the game is

What use does the Mine Thrower have anyway?

The mine thrower is the the best weapon in the game though. Just don't fall for the final upgrade.

Dude the Minethrower wrecks Saddler. Just hit him with body shots and it's GG.

RE4 is only easy when you have mastered the controls and movement and placement of the enemies and know exactly how to exploit these things. My first playthrough was nerve racking and definitely not easy.

Underrated and Overpowered are not the same thing retard OP

Tons.
>gets rid of the chance of las plagas sprouting
>makes Saddler even easier then he already is, one dart anywhere on his body will bring him to his kness and expose his eye
>can tear through zealot formations like butter, good for groups of shield enemies
>is a great replacement for magnum or RL when it comes to killing Verdugo
>will detonate instantly on moving objects (mine cart, elevator, etc.)
>one dart on Salazar's head, not even the eye, will still damage the eye and make him reveal himself to pump bullets into
>and much more

This game on medium for me was harder to beat than bioshock 1 at max difficulty

Oh shit. I forgot my favorite use. Two shots into El Gigantes back plaga, and then slashing it, and he's immediately dead after that.

Imagine grenades but better, and having it in your inventory not only makes more grenades drop but they're also magic grenades that can stack

Same. I remember my first time meeting the xenomorph boss in the sewers. I saw the "wait 5 minutes for the elevator" message and just assumed the worst: You can't kill this boss, you just have to run around scared for 5 minutes.
I don't think this game NEEDS a remake, but I want one just to experience that boss with new graphics.

No, its the Matilda. No one buys the Maltida since they just sell all their weapons and buy any infinite ammo weapon on newgame+

based as fuck
I beat it fairly easily on my first play through, the controls do take time to get used to but once you got it youre golden

the various expectation subversions of the RE remakes are a delight. I would love to see them fuck with me for that fight and the suspended train thing

People hate the mine thrower? Why?

I use the mine thrower as a shotgun replacement until the Striker is available.

But the striker is garbage though and nowhere near as satisfying as the regular shotty

I think for a lot of people's first playthrough they end up buying 1 of each weapon type (handgun, smg, shotgun, rifle, ect) but decide against the launcher due to not having space. It didn't help that on gamecube it costed nearly triple the amount making it not too good for quick-buy and sell once ammo is gone.

>why yes, I kill U3 with only a Blacktail powered up from ditman how could you tell?

>mine thrower
>Never gets ammo drops ever
It sucks

On later versions it's arguably the best for it's cost. It costs even less to upgrade than the standard handgun.

Carry less weapons. Pretty sure you get ammo for weapon types you have.

The more you use it the more it's likely to drop. When you have 9 darts or fewer then the game will give you boxes of 3 or 5, usually more than what you already used.

The Matilda is fucking dogshit, burns through ammo way too fast and is actually worse at killing enemies than a normal pistol.

You always get pistol, shotgun, magnum and tmp ammo no matter what, I think the mine thrower is the only weapon that actually enables its ammo drop by carrying it.

>3 bursts to kill an island ganado
OH NO NO NO

It's expensive
it's available too late in the game
it has its own dedicated ammo type which is the biggest turnoff
ammo isn't super common so it doesn't serve you as well as a shotty or pistol or rifle
kinda big so the inventory space feels cramped

Handcannon as well

>available too late into the game
You can buy it right at the start of the castle and it's objectively the least expensive weapon to upgrade and the second least expensive weapon to buy.

By the castle a lot of people have their main 3 weapon setup until they sell the free shotgun when the Stryker pops up.

this game doesn't have a difficulty setting, child

>Just don't fall for the final upgrade.
what's wrong with homing and an increased blast radius?

>TMP for village Gigantes
>red grenades for Mendez
>Mine Thrower for Verdugo
>Mine Thrower and TMP for Salazar
>Blacktail for U3
>knife for Krauser
>Mine Thrower and Striker for Saddler
Is this based?

tmp is both overrated and underrated

Red9 is by far best pistol. Blacktail is just ammo waster. Many player fall into this rap because htey thin more expensive= better.
