Been playing it for about four hours. It's not that great. Most of the reviews feel a bit off, to be honest. It's really buggy and looks pretty janky. Some scenes are nice, though. Definitely overhyped.

Meh, it's good, not great. The inconsistent graphics are kind of frustrating, and bugs are really, really bad. Like when I looked in the mirror at the start, I was naked for some reason. Then later when I was wearing a hat, it decided that I was actually just bald instead. The scripting feels way broken, too. Like I passed a tutorial without doing anything because the training dummy didn't reset properly.
It'll probably be alright when they finally polish it, but it's definitely nothing special right now.

Shooters like these always have a hard time creating good gameplay because shooting a generic pistol/rifle at a target feels the same in most of these games and it's not a satisfying feel like in other FPS games like TF2. Would you say I'm more or less identifying the problem?

Ranged combat is garbage, so I've been going with a combination of stealth takedowns and melee. You can do some interesting things with hacking, too, but I feel underspecced there.
I felt very on rails at first until I understood you could just explore the city from the start and there were side quests you could go do.
It's good enough, but I wouldn't call it "kino". I'd wait for a sale and/or patches.
