this game is so cool. its the dream game i never really knew i wanted
when u build a big factory (big by my standards) its your own thing you built and designed completely on your own, it truly is YOURS. time flies by when i play this game, and it looks so tedious and complicated but yet it doesn't feel like hard work to play it.
im curious to see what other peoples factory looks like and what your experience of the game is like
>time flies by when i play this game, and it looks so tedious and complicated but yet it doesn't feel like hard work to play it. Same, it seems like an autistic second job simulator (and it kinda is) yet it's so satisfying to see your factory function.
Alexander Perez
i haven't even go to those things yet, my very first factory was a huge mess, i got up to the beginnings of oil and gave up because my factory was a disaster.
now on factory number 2 and im just about to get green science packs
Kevin Thompson
Grow the factory. Genocide the bugs.
Evan Taylor
>green science try blue, its such a fucking chore.
Chase Wood
1.0 showed up in a torrent feed, decided to try it out. Went and bought the game from the developers site almost immediately after. cant stop playing...
Just finished purple science, starting on yellow. The game is absurdly good.
Andrew Sullivan
This is the general look of my factory. One big central bus that I pull materials off of. I use belt weaving so I can run up to 4 input materials on one line on one side of the assemblers. The beacons are shared between assemblers. Beacons suck up power passively so I set up logic that switches them off if output belts back up.
moment i get the cash ill be buying the game, fantastic game and from looks of it the mods look great too. would post my old factory but wiped the folder when installing the release version. anyone recommend any good mods for when i buy the game?

>turning power off >not just making 5 nuclear reactors
Robert Brown
i love the changes they introduced in 1.1
Ayden Ross
I like efficiency in my build. Power is resources. I use a hybrid power system with a lot of solar and a nuclear backup. The turbines only consume steam if accumulators drop below 20% and the reactors only create steam if steam drops below 20%. Here's my reactor setup.
How hard is to manage expansion when not using a bus?

Underground belts are your friend.

>Modded pure spaghetti The absolute mad lad.

easy >ctrl+c entire base >ctrl+v right beside it
Daniel Stewart
First I like to start with a caesar salad, then I pile on the parmesan cheese and meatballs to a rich marinara sauce. Mamma mia that makes some good spaghetti.

mfw droppin a fat stack of 1k solar panels and my bot system goes crazy
I usually have to rebuild my factory a few times. When I unlock electric furnaces, when I get trains up and running, when I get beacons, when I switch to logic bots.
Gavin Evans
Fuck blueprints
Andrew Phillips
I used to use steam accumulators (and technically they're still there), but then I just said fuck it. You get plenty of Uranium once you start enrichment anyway, so I just keep feeding it fuel.
Nicholas Price
I usually build everything to be upgradeable for those points you mentioned. I space out my furnaces early so they can be replaced, i keep certains spots open for train supply. Beacons I only use to even out production spots that suck compared to the rest.
But like do people restart after the rocket launch or they just rebuild bigger and better? I know it never ends but i dont know what's the most common.
Jonathan Richardson
Once you unlock spidertron the game becomes 11/10
Easton Watson
Oh god... i havent played in some months, this is a disaster for the flow of my go-to production chain... im done for, im bug food...
Benjamin Diaz
Based schitzo assembly-line design
Isaiah Russell
I don't see much of a reason to restart other than playing under a different mode/mod You can literally bulldoze your entire factory and stuff it into crates and start over
