What anime is this?

If you can understand Japanese very well, then fair enough, otherwise get a fucking grip you slug.

>What are subtitles?

Keanu Reeves is my favorite seyiuu

>BLYAT!

Why do jap VAs always sound so much better than western ones? Is it because there's way more money and competition for VAs in Japan and talented westerners all go for tv and film or is it just the old "you can't tell they're bad at acting because you can't understand them" trick?

Because you have no idea how good they are, you don't understand shit.

>that guy on the right's bowl cut
lmao

>you can't tell they're bad at acting because you can't understand them

Japan hasn't been relevant in cyberpunk since the bubble burst

SAIBAAPANKU 2 1000 7 10 7 YEAR

Just like one of my Animuuussss

Do they have Chinese audio? I’m playing it with that if I can.

>hating yourself so much you need to have the game in nip speak

A pathetic excuse for not understanding the language you're choosing to fucking listen to. Stop being a pussy, learn the language or stop being posing as a sub-weeb. Commit to being a pathetic piece of shit or don't bother at all.

Some jap VAs are damn fucking good, but a lot of them aren't. It's just a lack of exposure for the most part, people that listen to it like it because it's different, not always because it's actually well acted.

Japanese VA is always the best choice. I played Ass Creed Odyssey with Japanese VA and it was pure ludo

In my case it's just that nippongo just sounds pleasant to listen to. Same case with the Queen's english.

Why would the japanese audio be the "proper" one?

Because the OP is a faggot weaboo

>nippongo just sounds pleasant to listen to
Weeb delusion, japanese is an ugly language.

>You ARE going to play Cyberpunk
Nope

DOES THIS GAME HAVE A VA-11 HALL-A REFERENCE OR NOT?

That's an example I was going to use. As somebody that grew up in England, has a "posh" English accent, and spent a fair bit of time in Japan; I don't really like either. Japanese voice acting is extremely irritating because it's over-acted a lot of the time. If it's themetically appropriate, I'll keep it on, but it's extremely obnoxious after the novelty wears off. Such is the case with a lot of Japan, or it was for me anyway.

I think that helps in some cases. Like, I never thought of playing Cyberpunk with japanese va, but that trailer made it seem somewhat desirable. Japanese va lends itself to camp because it is so common for them to overact in some direction. With how over the top Cyberpunk appears, it makes it seem more enjoyable than trying to do some kind of naturalistic thing. Of course, V's va in English isn't very natural at all, but some of the others sound out of place. Keanu Reeves sounds kind of stupid in most of the scenes I've seen him.

VA industry is massive in Japan, and a lot of VA's are celebrities in their own rights. So they get a lot of really good voice acting.

Interestingly, Germany is similar. Because Germans dub everything - from feature films in cinema, tv shows, reality shows etc - they have massive VA industry too. Germans even have specific voice actors being long term contracted to dub specific actors, so, for example, there's a specific German guy who always dubs Bruce Willis in any film. So whenever Bruce Willis is in, they have to call that guy and that guy every time. That's so there's consistancy among performances so that same voice actors are always dubbing same actors so it always sounds the same.

>since the bubble burst
And what a bubble it was, too. In 1990, at the height of Japan's economic miracle, Japanese economy was HALF of the entire Asia's economy, meaning 1 out of every 2 dollars generated in Asia was generated in Japan.
