imo the defining feature of "trans" rather than "crossdressing" or "feminine" is the desire to permanently become female. It's definitely reasonable for trans people to identify with such characters and it is a grey area but I am sure of is that it's unfair to criticize these characters from the lens of trans representation because they are not necessarily trans.
