Sonic adventure 2 starts up
>Spend 65 seconds in Chao garden feeding them chaos drives
>Play City Escape collect a hundred rings mission over and over
>Go to step 1
Was it autism?
When I first played this game, thats what a friend of mine and I did because we couldn’t beat the Knuckles level at first
FILE SELECT
I continued to do this after I had beaten the game.
I never collected every ring for every level (including the chao stuff).
Should I try it now?
>There are people who didn't use the President as their menu voice
CAN YOU FEEEEEEEL LIFE MOVIN THROUGH YOUR MIND
>now entering big fat bat tats and ass zone
>Play it again after not touching it for years
>Remember Sonic only has like 4 fucking stages
If you're talking about A-ranks, fucking do it. It's a wild ride of intense suffering, especially at the start. Sonic's stages are the most fucking relentless especially when you're just figuring out how the scoring system works. Knux's and Rouge's stages are mostly free passes since there's an easily googleable spreadsheet with all combinations of hints leading to the exact positions of the shards for all levels.
Why has this game resonated the most of all the 3D Sonics?
let's take a dive
in aquatic mine
chao garden
90% of people just play it for the chao garden. That's why the game is so overrated because they forget how shit it is because they only play city escape.
They're almost all really fucking good though. Game strikes the best balance between speed and platforming and they never managed to get it back.
First 3D Sonic game on a popular console.
how is it possible for this game to be so fucking bad. my coomer brain literally cannot process knuckles levels they are so fucking bad I spent 50 minutes in one level and still didnt find all the fucking shards
sa1 is actually better legitimately
A combination of things.
>perfect level of early 2000s edginess, without going full retard like the Shadow game
>god-tier soundtrack
>ranking system encourages you to replay and master individual levels
>perfected the Chao system
CAN YOU FEED SEED
I bought it on Steam and thought 100% on a game I cleared as a kid would be easy
Holy shit, I forgot how fucking unfair the rankings can be
>Should I try it now?
Not gonna lie, you will have to git gud. Mecha stages you need to not get hit and get lots of 1500pts combos, which are way easier with the upgraded lock on weapon, but still difficult. For speed stages you need to learn the spin dash for speed, and enemy placements to chain homing attacks, since you need to finish early, and get a lot of points, just replay the stages a lot, eventually you will learn it. Treasure hunting is easy if you look for guides, absolute hell if you don't. It's fun as hell.
chao garden was boring tho what are you talking about?
you'll never be a woman
>Knux's and Rouge's stages are mostly free passes since there's an easily googleable
Well yeah. Everything is a free pass when you just cheat.
Nah. I don't give a shit about the Chao Garden. I just like replaying the speed stages.
I didn't even consider bothering with the Chao Garden even knowing you need it for Green Hill, why not just play a real tamagochi game instead
>Mecha stages you need to not get hit
This literally doesn't matter at all, what the fuck are you talking about?
>I spent 50 minutes in one level and still didnt find all the fucking shards
Fucking hell, user. It's a kids game.
You could send them to your VMU/GBA to effectively turn them into Tamagotchi.
It's SA1 but it's not broken so zoomers won't be able to blame glitches for being bad.
Whip up a webm of you getting a standard Mad Space A rank then, shouldn't be a problem for you.
Gameplay is complete garbage
>title screen fades in
>NNNNYYYEEEEEEOOOWWWWWWWWWWW
The 'rival' battles are so hilariously janky and easy that I have to question why they even bothered with them.
>This literally doesn't matter at all
Well, shit, I believe it did matter, never got a A when I did get hit.
The rings only count individually as you collect them, not your total at the end.
This battle is saved by the music and ambient, it's fucking kino.
it's one of the biggest examples of "better than the sum of its parts", you're probably going to enjoy at least one of the different gameplay styles, or you'll like at least one of the songs a lot (since they're all in different genres for each character), or you find the story genuinely/ironically entertaining, or you think chaos are really cool, or maybe you think the multiplayer mode is a lot of fun, or shit maybe you think the best part of the game is messing around with all of the glitches because unlike pretty much every other 3D sonic game the glitches are stuff you have to deliberately trigger to go out of bounds instead of the game just randomly breaking and killing you.
it's a game with a lot of reasons someone could like it even if the overall quality of the game is very debatable
why was the sonic adventure title screen so loud
Original user is a dumbass, getting hit breaks your combo.
Oh, well I can see where he was coming from. You can get hit, just not in the middle of locking on.
