Anyone still have their original Nintendo 3DS?
Do you still play games on it (if so what games)?
I got mine bundled with Star Fox 64 3D back in 2011 and I still love this little system. I’m kind of sad they stopped making new games for it.

nope, i used drastic
I hate this thing. The ergos suck. I think genuinely the only pirated game I finished (that wasn't a GBA emulation) was Phoenix Wright 1.
I use my 3ds almost everyday. I'm working on finishing as many of the puzzle swap boards that I can, but fuck getting the pink streetpass only pieces. Other than that, playing Yokai Watch 3 when I feel like it since there's so much to do
Got my original aquamarine 3ds still. First I ever had. Got it when I was like in like 4th or 5th grade
I bought Yokai Watch 1 for $5 a few months back at Walmart, guess I should give it a shot today.
yea, it's the one I use for DS and 3DS games. I never got the xl version and now it's too late.
I gave my original red to my brother when I bought my black XL one.
It's been a while since I played it, but gotta go back and finish Etrian Untold 2 and SKagura 2.
i too fucking old for this site
I'm playing Smash on 3DS.
I'm surprised to find people still playing this game, I can get into matches pretty quick.
Shame the conquests ended, I liked them.
Also this game is fucking jank central.
I got mine as a birthday gift for myself in college in 2011
I have it but I lost the charger. The replacement ones are a bit too expensive to be worth it
>First og 3DS broke
>Second og 3DS is broken
>Third is XL 3DS, works and holds up fine
The og 3DS is trash and small as fuck
I recently bought an unopened Flame Red launch one. Currently enjoying it.
>but fuck getting the pink streetpass only pieces
Fucking this. I finally got around to getting the remaining regular pieces, but I have the Yokai and Home Designer pink puzzles missing. All cons cancelled this year too.
Just finished Strange Journey yesterday, Mem Aleph was hard but Shekinah was even harder holy fuck
I want to start IV soon, but the 3DS is kinda dying honestly, the battery lasts like 2 hours tops now
Back when I needed a replacement couple years ago, I got mine for like 10-15 euros I remember
>not trashtalking the kids while practicing you magic
You are doing it wrong
I still have it, but I got a "new" 2DS XL earlier this year so play it mostly now. I am going to miss handheld gaming. I know about the Switch, but I feel like games made for previous handheld systems were made with a different design philosophy.
lucky you
launch edition here, i very literally can't even take it off the charger anymore
I have a new 3ds xl. It seems like they're rare to find these days new. And i hacked it so now i have a huge backlog of games. If anyone has a cia for xenogears please let me have it
I like the switch but I miss the old UI of Nintendo’s handhelds
Yeah, i'm in the same place, it's not really 2 hours, it's like half an hour honestly
I would have bought a New 3DS if they made that glow in the dark Boo faceplate widely available in the US
Don't use PSX cia's. I know they are convienent, but setting up games as detailed in this guide works so much better. reddit.com
>tfw old XL still works fine
i did replace it with a new 2ds a while back but i get it out sometimes to keep it updated
i feel like nintendo didnt really push the faceplates that much.
i know japan got the vast majority of them but even then i felt the designs were still limited.
Yes
No
The last game I finished on it was ztd I think, back in 2016.
Thanks for the threadly reminder OP. Really wanna start playing Project X Zone 2. First one was stupid fun.
Nintendo didn't push the small N2DS at all in the west, I think it was available in some special edition bundles but you couldn't actually buy one on its own.
I would play it but the shoulder buttons keep fucking dying and I can't order new ones from China and fix it every week.
I sold my og 3ds and got the N3DS XL way later. I realize I hate playing games on it and mostly just use Citra nowadays with an actual controller, unless the touchscreen is massively incorporated into the game play
You can still buy batteries for it.
>I’m kind of sad they stopped making new games for it
Seems like they're still releasing trash on the eshop. I'm wondering, are eshop games still being dumped on the regular? Fuck, I miss 3dsiso.
Yeah but even if they stopped making games. They made so many for it. Its impossible you've played all the good games for it. On top of it can be hacked with gba and snes games. It can play original DS games. That's like 4 consoles of games on that thing alone
I’ve been putting that game off for way too long
Post playtimes
I would but it's not really the only problem, its starting to have problems in reading carts and the SD, the cover for the circle pad is also worn off
I think i'll try to get another one for cheap and leave this one for my niece
