FO4 was classic lipstick on a pig. When you get close to anything you can see how outdated it is. The textures especially since it's a mishmash of high res and low res shit.

The game has been in an actual development more than 7 years. Just because they started programming 4-5 years ago doesn't make the rest of it suddenly go away. The story, setting, etc, like the hard part was already planned a long time ago.
