>BR but there's no punishment to hiding in a bush trying to snipe for 6 hours
11/10 idea.
sounds like a horrible idea
you'll end up with people just quitting after running around for an hour trying to find other people if you don't have a way to force them together
You're fucking stupid, bro.
thats the point
long time games
and maybe there can be only one server room
like a championship
add your ideas then fag
what u think
Make it so all player locations ping periodically so its not completely boring in the end taking hours for opponents to finally find each other.
perfect idea
what about cars and planes and stuff
should i add them
Make it really small. Like unreal tournament last man standing
>the idea its BIG maps
Depends on how big the map is, would it take 10 minutes end to end or 30 minutes end to end? If 10 then no, if 30 then yes.
ye 30+ mins
>but the map never gets smaller
games would go on for hours, the endless run around
terrible idea
suggest plz
whats in your mind user
honestly, i would think that would be kinda cool; having to actually use hunting tactics to hunt other players.
but of course the game would have to implement such a detailed gameplay style like that.
im talking about foorprints that stay on the ground forever, foliage that actually get worn down from going through them a lot, etc.
no, make it a small city map with some verticality. every player gets a motion sensor that beeps faster when you are near each other
add some unique reward that you only get from kills so people don't only camp
noted
they sound amazing
also this will require more time to make and its harder + i dont want the game to be very high and like those new fps game you seen, that can bake the pc even if they are small
so ill keep in mind details but not overdo them
but i will still keep it in mind
battle royale is already slow with the map getting smaller, your idea makes no sense
well ye but I doubt any of this shit would be easy to make, especially since you would need to also have working netcode
yeye
i know its going to be hard as fuck
this is why im going to need some good team mates
nah, make it so that "clues" spawn on the map so players can hunt for eachother
>im talking about foorprints that stay on the ground forever, foliage that actually get worn down from going through them a lot, etc.
yes this
heres my discord if anyone want to help or suggest
also how can i save this thread

Not to be a downer, but even if you make a 10/10, indie MP games, let alone BR, take a monumental effort to actually gain traction
>map doesn't get smaller
>players get bigger
hahah yeah ive seen this one
desu this is what the idea came around
Why not make it an asymmetrical mp game then?
>instead of the map getting smaller, some players spawn as beasts that can track the human players
how about going back to the original BR formula?
>no GPS player icon on the map, it's not fully detailed
>divided into sectors
>as time passes player will explode if in certain sectors after the warning expires
>all weapons have to be picked up from other players
>original BR formula
So not a lot of ranged weapons and you having to actually survive by getting food and water? Pretty sure it would translate bad to gameplay
what about revealing the player location with a beam when they stay in a position for long
I do remember enjoying games like early Rust or early DayZ, just running around looking for your friends who spawned in different areas, using landmarks and the environment to say where you are.
I like the idea but... There needs to be a mechanic forcing players to move around (so they meet and engage) or it'd get stale. Imagine this scale sized prop hunt map where everyone tries to be props.
add a wound and needs system so you can torture your victims by shooting both of their legs when they left their hiding hole to get more food
mmmmmm
the nostalgia
I don't think they revealed locations but it's been a very long time since I watched it
How about this:
>PvEvP battle royale
>survival horror against zombies or similar
>map gets flooded with zombies and they never stop spawning forcing you to use your limited resources if you don't wish to move
>hard but not impossible to stay out of the "border"
>if players stall long enough the entire map gets flooded with zombies
>they could act as distraction but also imitate player behavior so to confuse other players and allowing to blend in with them
That's basically just Day Z without respawning.
>That's basically just Day Z without respawning.
So? I'd play it. Wouldn't you?
The ideas and what they think is
well......yeah
maybe add zombies as another game mode
to everyone complaining about taking hours to find each other, you are a fucking ADHD zoomer who can't appreciate the trill of the hunt
specially if you make the gameplay less of a shooty arcade and more of an hunting game with a very spooky atmosphere where any damage can be the lethal one
add traps and other shit and you have the most nerve wracking game that only sadists and psychopaths would play, and it will be glorious
nah man I agree with you
"a most dangerous game" could be cool
10/10 idea
